There’s not many reviews here but they all seem to be positive which is a good sign.||I was here recently and enjoyed my short stay. Plenty of room with vans, motorhomes and tents well spaced and not too crowded.||Sites are large, powered or unpowered, water available at sites, pet friendly, reasonable rates, dump point, a bit of shade and amenities that look fairly new.||I found the caretaker very friendly, one of the best I have encountered in my travels.||The showground is pretty close to town and it’s a good spot to plonk yourself for exploring the area.||Not sure what the go is re camping in June when the show is on.||Definitely...
Read moreKalbar township is wonderful. The showgrounds as a camping location is in dire need of updating. Shower stalls have wood rot in the floor which is questionably structurally sound, basins and tapware have huge calcium build-ups. Ground turns into a swamp very quickly with caravans parked close together and nowhere for drain hoses to properly drain. Caretaker is on a power trip and regularly rides around on a petrol golf cart to inspect and enforce contradictory rules across multiple campsites, such as van orientation (which differed from site to site as to what the 'regulations' were) or whether floor mats could be put...
