We booked to camp in the non-powered section of the park. On check-in, the staff were abrupt and uninterested. The waterfront site was nice but they are extremely small and you are packed in like sardines.

The website describes the non-powered sites as having ‘dedicated bathroom facilities’. On arrival, we were advised that these were adjoined to the camp kitchen. Unfortunately, there are no hand drying facilities at these bathrooms, which makes hygiene very poor. There were only 2 toilets and 1 shower/toilet combo and they were also being used by campers in powered sites. The number of toilets available was not sufficient to keep up with demand.

The alternate bathroom, at the top of the park, was in a poor state of affairs and looked dirty and unclean every time I went to use it. The laundry was also well overdue for a clean. On both days, the bins at the camp kitchen were overflowing.

With the number of guests staying at the park, I believe it is really important to ensure that facilities are well maintained and regularly cleaned (particularly at the price point charged).

The above was sent to the reception after our stay as feedback and the staff didn’t even offer an apology. Customer service could do with some improvement!

Won’t be staying here again.

Edited to add in response to owner: Regarding size of camps: what you fail to mention is the width and the fact many of these sites are triangle shaped. What might be 8m long doesn’t turn out to be much once you put your car and tent/trailer on the site that ends in a little point. Regarding cleaning: if you are having 700+ guests per night, consider cleaning more than once per day - it is needed! That laundry has not been cleaned daily for a very long time lol. (And still no apology for the state of...

We booked this park at the beginning of February, one car/camper, one car with rooftop (same booking 2 sites) when we arrived we found our sites split at opposite ends of the park. Staff at reception did try find a site together without success ... very disappointing when we booked 6months ahead. Turns out the site for the single car was extremely small (almost like an overflow sight only just fit a single car) and the sight allocated for the trailer was massive more than enough room for all of us so that's what we did. We all stayed on the one site. 3 adults and an infant, we had no issues until.

On the morning of check out a man on a buggy pull up and told us we needed to present to reception regarding having two vehicles on one site. He was rude and ready for an argument. (He came in hot!) when we asked why we hadn't been pulled up on it earlier (the first Day/Night we stayed) he had no answer, we would have moved one of the cars to the other sight and left the rooftop and van on the large sight if we where informed on the first night/day. The situation could have been dealt with in a much nicer way. You ask for respect of your staff ... the same should be given to patron's when speaking to them.

We haven't had any issues with any other parks with separating our sites and they are in busy locations in peak session also. I don't believe this is a valid excuse. We all pay the same for sites. It's not fair that the single car gets put on the smallest site in the park for their convenience.

From some of these reviews this happens often and it's disappointing that the park hasn't taken it on as constructive criticism.

Our stay was really good until the last morning of our stay. People staying in the park...

Pros: Team is awesome! friendly and caring. We've stayed for 6 weeks, and left the caravan in storage for another 5 weeks. The team looked after the van, and moved it to safety when bushfires came too close to the park. The park itself has been undergoing upgrades, but the lawns are kept well, and is relatively clean and tidy throughout. Pool looks great, with shady areas. For the kids - a talking cockatoo sitting close to the pool, and another bird cage hosts a variety of Finches. A great view of the Kununnura lake, from many of the caravan sites. Across the road from the park, there's a public park with exercise facilities, which the locals use for their morning sporting routines (boxing, yoga, etc). The park has a local fresh-water croc named Gummy (see pictures), who comes to his spot every afternoon for a feed.

Cons: The park has two amenities blocks. One is in great condition, well ventilated and modern looking. The other - not so much. Unfortunately, the newer block was closed off on the 10th of September, at the end of the season, for the next 6 months. Which left the visitors to use the other block. Camp kitchen is large and comfortable, and well equiped. However the fridges (and freezers) are full with old stuff.

All in all - we've enjoyed our stay, and thank the team from the bottom of our hearts for looking after our caravan while we...

Great park with friendly staff. Amenities work fine, dump point and good size camp kitchen. Make sure you say hello to Popeye and Gummy if you get the chance
