Healesville Motor Inn, 45 Maroondah Hwy — Hotel in Melbourne

I will be very happy to stay here again! The room was very nicely set up with everything I needed & extra blankets, heaters, ironing board & iron all neatly tucked away in cupboards. The bathroom was also well laid out with extra hooks behind the door to hang towels etc. My breakfast was brought to my room on the evening I arrived, with items for the fridge & frozen bread wrapped in cling wrap for my toast in the morning. A toaster & kettle in the room meant everything was hot & fresh when I made my breakfast the next morning. The bed was very comfortable. Parking was right outside my room, where there was also a table & 2 chairs. I could have sat outside to enjoy the evening & the lovely grounds of this motel. It is just a few minutes drive from Healseville's main street, easily close enough to buy a hot dinner & come back to your room to enjoy it. We stayed here after a disaster at other accommodation and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel. From the front it looks fairly old but once inside the rooms are clean and well-appointed and the bathrooms are very modern. There is a large yard for the kids to kick a ball around and also monkey bars/play equipment. It was great! The host was super friendly and had lots of tips about what to do on our way to Melbourne. The parking was straight out the front of the unit. I would highly recommend if you are looking for decent accommodation at a decent price. And go to the burger...

We had a wedding to attend at the weekend, six rooms were booked and everyone found the rooms suited their requirements. They were neat, clean and comfortable. If we were staying longer and the weather was warmer there is a lovely lawned area with seating which would have been nice to utilize, there is also a small children’s playground. Breakfast is available on request but there are also facilities for making yourself a continental breakfast. It is a short distance, 1.2kms, to town should you have the inclination to walk.
