15/5/25 1 night Room 34 $141 inc breakfast Undercover parking directly in front of door. The first thing you notice when you open the door is how big the combined kitchen, dining and lounge room is. It’s HUGE! It doesn’t feel like a motel room but a small apartment. A little dated but the size is impressive. The walls are exposed brick, floor is half tiled and half carpeted. A couple of stains on the carpet. Motel is pet friendly could hear evidence of that with a mut yapping right outside the bedroom window, thank goodness it didn’t last all night. Also, being on a main road there is the constant hum of traffic noise. Semis and hoon cars are most noticeable. Walk through into the bedroom which is also large. King size bed with a mattress topper making the bed so comfy. Love the idea of no tv in the bedroom it’s in the lounge room where you can watch in comfort on a 2 seater lounge. It’s 150cm, maybe bigger and has a great selection of Foxtel channels. Lastly, the bathroom is huge, you could just about waltz in there! Has a spa bath that is big enough to stretch out in and bath sheet size towels. Like the idea of the wall mounted pump bottles of soap, shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer and shaving cream. There are 3 x 3 of them at wash points in bathroom but not useful when you get in the shower and there is no gel in the caddy. That’s what happened this morning. Check out motels photos looks exactly as pics. Breakfast is very disappointing. 3 different cereals in glass jars, tea, coffee, biscuits. There is 1 litre of milk and 2 little fruit cups and 2 butter, jams and peanut butter. For the life of me I have no idea why you’d have butter and condiments when there’s no bread? I thought they may of forgotten to leave bread but there is toaster and guest info folder lists breakfast items and also says ‘law prohibits cooking in rooms’ so is making toast cooking? Definition says it’s a form of cooking, so either remove the toaster or supply bread! I’ve noticed more and more accommodations are asking for guests to wash up. I feel that is part of housekeeping and what’s more if you don’t wash up here there is a a notice posted near the sink if this is not done a $50 cleaning fee will be applied. Other than that it’s a nice place to stay, clean, comfy, extremely roomy, everything works, good price and reception friendly.

Honestly, I have enjoyed my stay, and appreciate the lovely staff that work at this establishment. I've been here for about 3 months, no issues, as part of an emergency housing scheme with department of housing. I've been homeless for a long time, before this opportunity... However, the legitimate owner of the establishment, is a hyper critical and abusive embarassment to this otherwise respectable business... Personally, if I commit the same bias and prejudice, I would leave a 1 star review and complain about the rats and the constant noise of the repairs maintenance and the highway, the Foxtel that is installed, is worse than free to air tv, as you can't watch have the channels that stream because of the loading, AND! The internet is not secure, at all! The owner must have little pride in the establishment, because all of the fixtures, with the exception of the tv, are dilapidated, including the locks on the doors... It's common knowledge amongst the people who stay here, that the "do not disturb" sign is all you need to break into your room under 30 seconds. ... Without any proof or sustainable evidence, the owner singled me out because of rumours about two mice I keep (clean and well looked after) assumptions about my drug use (I'm an addict) ... ... Even after welcoming her into the privacy of my room (I may provide a recording of the state of the room, immediately after the fact) The owner has persistently, by definition, bullied me, forcing me to pack and leave, before my expected end of the emergency housing agreement that approved my stay until the 28th of February, I was/am belittled for my circumstances, to the point a discrimination lawsuit, would be an option, if I wasn't otherwise preoccupied with my own well being and that of my dog. I have issues, sure, but when you go to this much effort, because no one cares, or thinks you deserve any more consideration than the dog I keep as a companion... It makes me stop and think, where does all this money, specifically, the profits go? Does it go back into our community and country, or is it selfishly resolved in the self-gratification of someone else's social higharchy? At the end of the day... I still think of Jesus, It's as easy for the rich man to enter the kingdom of God, as it is for a camel to walk through the eye of a needle.

Our room was massive, if a little dated. It would be ideal for someone staying for a few days, being fully self-contained. They also have a clever way to do the included Continental breakfast. The highlight wasn't that we had room to park our car and oversized box trailer,🙏 but the exceptional restaurant service and the amazing food.😋😍 I have a photo of our mains, which neither of us could finish. However, I didn't get to snap one of the gingerbeer battered prawns entree🦐 because the husband started on them the minute they arrived, which was super quick. We highly recommend them. And the dairy free crispy pork belly was scrumptious. The perfect amount of chilli in the sauce that you could taste without being too hot. Hubby had the steak, and the only thing he would have changed is that, next time, he would ask that the Bundaberg Red Rum Hickory BBQ sauce he chose was heated. Which would have made it even better. Though still 10 out of 10 for our meals. Compliments to the chef. All the staff were efficient and friendly. We will definitely stay here again and either get room service or dine-in at Capers next time we visit Bundaberg. 😊

Had a 10 day stay after reading reviews so decided to take a plunge. Took 15.min to check in as the reception kept asking about whose paying for 2 rooms and why. None of her business actually. I explained I'm paying for the rooms and left it at that. Took her a few minutes to come from back office to front trying to put shoes on. Reception was very hot I asked about it and she reluctantly put the AC on. My room was down in a corner, big rooms, very dark no sun can get in. Shower was big but it didn't get cleaned . You could see left water marks and a lot of dust near the walls in the bathroom every day. Sheets got changed day 4 and that's all. Was a bit rude with cleaners as they were knocking on my door at 830 to clean up. My door wasn't open and our car was still in the spot out front. The fridge is old and mouldy.light in fridge didn't work and if you turned it up a bit it froze stuff. AC is old and had to crank it up and wait half hr for it to be felt cooler. Rubbish bin sat for 2 days full outside my room just around the corner. Partner went to ask for it to be removed and that took 24 hrs then it was moved outside between his room and next door. Skylight in my bathroom needs replacing it had debris falling out over the sink . I first walked in and dirt all on the sink. The inside of the skylight is peeling all off and is filthy. In reception the lift switch was dark with dirt and the water cooler tap ,ewww it was the same. Lots of stains on partners carpet in his room ,mine wasn't bad. Looking out back glass doors all you see is a hill of dirt and trees. Very dark. Not sure how they get away with calling it an international motor in.its dark, dingy ,not really clean. The mattress protector is also a double in a queen bed so it isn't fully fitted to the bed . Lots of paint chips off the walls. They do have a restaurant but never saw it open.prices in room menu were high.they apparently do lunches to take with you on day trips but I wouldn't trust the cleanliness ,sorry. The bed was ok little hard for my liking. Nothing to view around the area of the motel. I would go for other choices first. Was expensive for the 10 days . No one of the staff was actually friendly just gave us looks when...
