Coral Villa Motel — Hotel in Svensson Heights

Disgusting place to be. Extremely Rude staff. Would not recommend for anyone to stay, not even my dog. I would’ve given less stars if I had the option.

We booked through a third company for a single night here, however we had been told by Karen that we booked the wrong day (we acknowledged this however proved on our booking confirmation we did have the days correct) We asked if they had anymore rooms available for the day we needed however we were told it would cost more as they never have had any rooms at the price we had paid for, and to date they are still advertised at the price we paid (weird, right?) you think they would’ve updated this.

We requested our booking be cancelled and requested a refund as we were uncomfortable with the events that had occurred and were told the booking had been cancelled but the refund would be through the third party company. This is where we were confronted by Jasen (absolute toss pot with no literary abilities) We were told to read their terms & conditions and leave as we were now trespassing and if we didn’t, the police would be called. As so we questioned why the refund wouldn’t go through them, and checked the T&C’s which were not inline with the information we had been told.

At this point Jasen is yelling at us to leave immediately while attempting to call the police. It was me, my sister and our 2 kids (aged 1 & 6 months old) - we were not trespassing we were just trying to get our money back so we could pay for somewhere else. When I tried to explain we had young children and that was our accomodation money Karen said “it doesn’t look like it’s my problem” and continued to play solitaire.

I said to Karen that how they conduct business is disgusting and I was told to “shut up, what would you know about running a business” Jasen decided to pop his head around the corner with ill intentions.

He said word for word to Karen “you know the story to tell so they are arrested” at this point we put our hands up and waited it out for the police.

We couldn’t recommend this place any less. Karen while rude was not terrible to deal with, Jasen however....

Young children Forced to sleep on the street!!! We booked accommodation weeks in advance, as it was for a large event in town and accommodation for a family was scarce already!! Confirmation email received of dates was correct as was the time of check in! Received a friendly reminder text from Karen at 6pm the evening before that said see you tomorrow! We drove 6hours only to arrive at the time we stated to find our villa occupied by someone else! Due to the time of our arrival there was no accommodation open that had available rooms! So we had no choice but to sleep on the side of the road!! We phoned the number provided in text to be told in a rude voice you didn’t show up yesterday! Of course we didn’t show up yesterday, our booking clearly stated that we were not due in until the day we arrived!! They state they tried to phone us they did not!!! I attempted to make further contact to ensure they did not charge us for booking they didn’t not hold for us!! Was met with rude responses and pointing of fingers at us for their mistake! Management rude and no cares given! I have sent them proof of confirmation and they continue to point blame at us!!!...

To be honest, at $120 a night it was disappointing. Two and a half stars at most and that because of bed and a bathtub. We got the last available room so maybe we lucked out there because too tired to look further but: Facing the road and all access ways, narrow pull down roller blinds afforded dodgy privacy, they gaped at the edges. Tiny cramped room, big and comfortable enough bed dominated. Rather dated fittings except fridge. Impressive (at first glance) bath and spa but spa non working. Bathtub edge quite high and we should have had a bath mat or closer handle to ensure safety getting out on the tiles. Handle on back wall above tub good for a bang on the head only, which it did. Two towels only supplied. Tissues dispenser empty. Bathroom tap dripped, and the tub emptied overnight. Coded key access to area is good security though as door was just a slider and screen. The guy on the phone when booking was great but the dated room was a let down given the advertising. Oh, and the advertised “free breakfast” is not. We will definitely put more thought into...
