Beechworth Motor Inn — Hotel in Northern Victoria Region

On a road trip from Barwon Heads back to Sydney, we stopped for the night at Beechworth Motor Inn and discovered it had everything we could have wished for. A warm and friendly greeting from ?owner/manager Rob. We had given him an indication of our arrival time, and the heater was already on in the room on what was a very cold night. A generous sized room, and best of all, generous shelving in the bathroom for our washbags etc. Very comfortable beds. We missed the chance to put in a breakfast order by 9pm, but were able to make tea in the room, and there was a toaster available had we wanted it. We had a superb dinner at the Ox and Hound in town (hospitality great and food and local wine delicious), and breakfast next morning at the popular Beechworth Bakery. We arrived after a long drive and were warmly welcomed in reception with quick and easy checkin. The minute we stepped into our room we were immersed in thoughtful design with comfortable, elegant and stylish furnishings. The establishment has had a full makeover since our last visit with new bathrooms, efficient and well stocked tea/coffee area. There are two suitcase benches (one doubles as a bench seat and the other folds down). Well thought power point placement, new air conditioning. The room comes fully kitted out with everything you could need, however reception is obliging with any extras required. My husband and I recently stayed at the Beechworth Motor Inn, in a Premier King Room. What a delightful place to stay. The Hosts Robert and Jenelle were delightful to deal with and very responsive. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely. Modern and very comfortable. Nespresso Coffee maker, kettle and toaster for convenience. The bed and bedding ensured a beautiful night sleep. The bathroom was modern and a good size and the water pressure in the shower was wonderful. But the nice surprise was the surroundings. With lovely gardens, a swimming pool and fabulous bbq areas. Very welcoming indeed. The icing on the cake is the location. It’s an easy walk into town and Lake Sambell area. This is our go to place in Beechworth. Do yourself a favour...
