Excellent little motel run by really dedicated owners who attend to their guests needs. I was attending a weekend in Red Cliffs, and wasn’t going to get there until 8:30pm the night of my stay. The owners ensured they were still there and open for my arrival and check in, and ensured everything was good not just for my stay but my overall weekend in Red Cliffs. Definitely highly recommended. Red Cliffs is only 15mins away from the bigger regional centre of Mildura so consider staying here and supporting this local community more than the corporate chain motels in the ‘dura. It is three star, although the room may be regarded as dated, it was very clean and well presented, AND, with the price of my stay.

On entering the complex it was clear this was a motel from the 80’s style. The rooms were spacious enough but they were quiet, well insulated and clean. Everything you would expect was available, location, parking, comfortable bed, good heater, microwave oven, hair dryer etc etc. The bathroom was dated as well but also spacious with a good shower and hot water. As previously mentioned the room supplied everything you would expect in an older style building. We would certainly go back there again for an over nighter.

What do I want in an overnight motel stay? I genuine welcome…got that from Dean. A room with a TV and a comfortable bed. Got that too. The room was spacious and I always appreciate a table and chair to do some work on the laptop. Walked up to the local pub for a meal, then came back to watch the best NRL grand final I have ever seen. I teach in a Penrith school, so a Panthers win was kinda special. Especially the way it went down. Thanx Dean for a good stay.

I never met the owners but I did speak to them both on the phone and they were very nice. I didn't have the most pleasant stay there and I wasn't going to write a review but after thinking about it for awhile I decided to do so. I see all good reviews and that's what we based our choice on when we booked but in all fairness I have to write this. When we pulled up to the motel I had a really bad vibe after seeing a few of the other guests milling around outside. I'm from New York City so I may just be paranoid but i wasnt happy. Quite honestly I thought they were homeless people. The young tough looking couple staying near our room was outside smoking pot a few times. The ashtray on the table outside our room had cigarette butts in it. The thing that bothered me the most was the horrible sweet scented air freshener or cleaner that had been used in our room. It really was making me sick. It didn't bother my husband but I couldn't take it. If the office had been open I would have gone there and asked them to move me into a room that hopefully didn't smell like that. Instead I opened the door to let it air out and sat outside for about an hour. Honestly it didn't help much. If the owners are reading this you may want to rethink whatever products you are using because there are people like me who are sensitive to sickeningly sweet strong smells. Other than that it was OK although a door to the bathroom rather than a curtain would have been nice. The room was dated but clean. That horrible perfume smell just totally turned me against the place. We did eat dinner in the casino across the street. That was a nice meal and reasonably priced. We only stopped overnight in Red Cliffs on our drive back to Melbourne but if it was more than one night I couldn't have stayed there for a second night because...

I was nearing the end of four weeks of extensive travel which included a trip to England and Scotland... returning to Australia to do a road trip to Broken Hill and then Gawler... I was slowing down and really needing to rest. I pulled into the motel much later than I anticipated I would and was fortunate enough to get the last room just as the manager was leaving. ||Customer service here was very good. Location is easy to find and walking distance to eateries. The room looks like a budget room where it meets all your needs, but it is overpriced for what is on offer. I noted a lot of the cars in the lot were 4WD's so they left early the next morning and it was difficult to sleep through the departures. It would have been nice if they had all left around the same time, but it was like they were tag teaming... one would leave... another would wake up... make noise and leave. This was no fault of the motel... it...

Not Dog Friendly, Received a mobile call at 8pm on the day I was due to arrive at the Red Cliffs Colonial Motor Lodge advising that dogs are not allowed in the rooms. At this time I was 7 hours into my drive from Melb and 1 hour from arriving at RedCliffs. It was rather disconcerting as I had checked via phone a couple of days earlier and advised them I was attending a dog show and checked that they were dog friendly, before booking on that day. They also do advertise as dog friendly. Anyway, during the call I was told I'd have to leave the dog in the car or find somewhere else to stay. That didn't seem fair, especially being told at 8pm at night on the day of arrival. So I found accommodation elsewhere that was dog friendly and would let me have the dog in the room. It was a couple of minutes down the road in Mildura. Zero stars from me (sorry that zero wasn't an...
