Renmark Motor Inn — Hotel in Renmark

ROOM: 7 We stayed in Room 7. On entering the motel room we noticed that it was quite small in size but it appeared to be very clean and tidy. However, after spending some time there, quite a few things then came to light. There were a quite a few amenities that were either broken or didn't work very well at all. The chain on the door was broken. Also after opening up the door in the morning we then found we were then unable to close the actual door. The door lock mechanism seemed to be faulty. Having a shower was also a very interesting experience. The arm on the shower head was totally broken so having a shower really was a very interesting experience. We ended up having to try to lean the actual shower head up against onto the wall as you couldn't extend the arm of the shower head or adjust the angle of the shower head either as it was totally broken. Trying to get hot water was another matter. When you eventually did manage to maintain a nice warm water flow, it would then intermittently turn cold. The WiFi wasn't very strong at all so using your phone or iPad proved to be a big challenge. When watching television that night we also kept losing the signal on the television. Obviously a much stronger television antenna is also required. Car parking is...

So disappointed. Booked 2 rooms - a getaway with a friend and our grandsons. They were not near each other. One of the rooms smelt horrible. Apparently the last person cooked ‘rice’ and they tried to kill the smell with spray. There were no windows either - so we could not air out the room. Advertised having cable tv. My friend had cable - mine was not connected (which I found out later at night). The curtain in my room was broken at the top - so the lights from outside shone onto my bed. The unit was clean - which is why I gave it 1 star. I sent a message to management stating that I was unhappy with the situation and was approached and told the place was booked up so pretty much bad luck. I had booked well in advance. Will definitely be back to Renmark, beautiful area. I will not be returning ever to this horrible place, which was extremely overpriced (long weekend so it was approximately $30 dearer than any other time). I have stayed in many cheaper motels that were way better. Advice - don’t waste your money....
