Nice family friendly campground located near a main beach in Tarthra. My family and i spent three nights down here and we really enjoyed ourselves. The spaces and facilities themselves were all quite lovely. There is a reasonable playground for the kids, bikes and boats for hire and a reasonable heated swimming pool as well. All the facilities were clean and tidy, all in good working order. The site is located about 5 minutes drive from the Tarthra Hotel, supermarket and bottle shop. The only negative from my end was that you had to pay to use the bbqs. Ended up costing us $3 to cook breakfast one morning, the day after we just ended up using our own camping equipment. I think it’s the first time I have paid to use the bbqs at a Big4. Other than that, a recommend from me.

Lovely clean park with easy access to cafe and beaches. Dog friendly once silly season is over. Pool was small and a bit warm for my liking but provided some relief from the heat. Amenities were spotless and the outside kitchen/ eating area, a bonus.

We stayed for 4days and 4nights and everything was great until the next cottage had young boys making noise at around 1am or so. Footsteps, banters and giggles woke me up. So expect different kinds of noise when checking-in.

Kangaroo House 3 bedroom Cabin MOST UNCOMFORTABLE BED I HAVE EVER SLEPT ON. Mattress had absolutely no support, we went to bed after a long days travel and the bed felt like it was a slippery dip all night. Decided to put some pillows under the mattress next morning to find that the slats on one side of the bed were on the floor. Spoke to management as their was no way that bed could be made sheets tucked under mattress by domestic staff without being aware. His answer was maybe the slats fell on the after the bed was made. When challenged this was very unlikely all he said was “well sorry about that. He called in later and said perhaps change the base over to a different slat base. Otherwise Cabin is large enough for a family of six or three couples. Large yard back and front of cabin but grass had not been mowed for some time. A TV in lounge plus one in second bedroom is about the best can be said. Lounge comfort was not comfortable, cushion just collapsed when you sat on it. I am not a big person. Their very basic with minimum crockery, cultery, cooking pans utensils etc but would not recommend for a comfortable stay. Have stayed in many other holiday cabins that were far more comfortable and...

After travelling 6 hours to reach Tasman Holiday Park Big 4 Tathra I had a lovely man welcome me and direct me straight to my cabin. I had parking right at the door. First impressions was thank goodness it clean ,quiet and relaxing. I could hear the waves crashing on the beach, could it get any more relaxed and my first night I slept like a log. And that happened every night. Everything I could have needed for my 6 day stay was available in my cabin. One morning there was a gas shortage (no hot water) "did they forget to pay the bill" Lol. I believe I wasn't the only person to contact the reception, I received a text about an hour later giving details of the resolution to the problem and low and behold a couple of hours later Hot water was restored. The park rules were self explanatory and to the most part everyone in the entire park seemed to follow. By between 8:30 to 9:30pm the park was quiet and that hardly ever happened in such a big facility and it was school holidays. All the staff were friendly, active, busy, but always approachable. I had such a restful and enjoyable time and will tell anyone who wants a great place to go and stay.value for money and a great holiday experience I know of a great...

Stayed with large family group in various cabin types. We personally stayed in a Family polynesian cabin.

Issues: Main bedroom door kept opening and shutting and slamming on its own. They did have a door jam but kids kept moving it. No oven switch off button to be safe for children. Had to tirelessly check oven wasn’t turned on by a kid.

Unable to lock windows when leaving the cabin. Rooms too small for portacot Bedroom door didn’t open fully No one at reception or answering phone Noise cutoff not complied with, loud until at least midnight from parties Blonde girl in short shorts with her bum out zooming on golf cart at top speed even though park speed 10kph. Need more blankets, none in cupboard and only a light one to put on top of us Bark in playground a real nuisance. Hard to walk in, got inside shoes, and when my toddler fell over he got an entire mouthful of bark and we could not get it out. Lots of mosquitos.

Good : blackout blinds all around Good furniture Modern styling Good size fridge and freezer Generous range of towels clean Great leather sofas

Unfortunately this was booked on our behalf, and we later found out the caravan park across the road is...
