Landgasthof Rechenwirt — Hotel in Elsbethen

Wonderful location if you wish to visit Salzburg, but stay in a quiet place. The hotelroom was very clean, comfortable and with a good bed and nice view on the mountains. We had a bath and nice shower. You can also have dinner there, there is a restaurant with nice terrace. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly and you’ll get large and good portions. Breakfast is good, there is good choice. There is lots of parking space next to the hotel. In general I would have rated such a hotel higher, given the good facilities. When it is hot outside (in our case over 30 C) the room (ours was on the 2nd floor) remains too warm. Suggestion of someone from the hotel to open the window resulted in buzzing musquitos and therefore little sleep. With cooler weather this is a great place to stay and I would recommend it, but without insect nets or airco I would not go there again...

Landgasthof Rechenwirt is about 15 min from Salzburg city center by car. There is also a bus station right next to the property. The area is very quiet, although there is a restaurant downstairs which is open till late. I was not disturbed by the noise.||||The room is very functional, and OK, nothing fancy. WiFi works fine. Breakfast is mediocre, but filling. Service is OK.||||The place doesn't have any personal touch.
