Hotel Landhaus Zillertal — Hotel in Fügen

Fügen is a pretty little village in the Ziller Valley in the Austrian Tirol. I have recently had the great pleasure of staying at the Landhaus Zillertal Hotel in Fügen with a coach party of 36 people from the UK. The whole of the Hotel was spotlessly clean, and we were very well looked after by our Hosts and the owners Heinrich and Elisabeth Wildauer, and their family. The food and menu was of the typically healthy Austrian style, and was well presented and with adequate portions. The property and rooms are also in the typical Austrian design and construction with plenty of timber used. All the other guests (who were not part of our group) received the same high level of courtesy and treatment as ourselves, and I can thoroughly recommend this Hotel. The Hotel is child-friendly, and all the main facilities are available within the Hotel. Although there are no Sports Facilities within the Hotel, there is a large Sports Centre (with Gym, swimming pool, etc) just a few minutes walk from the Hotel. We booked the Christmas package at Hotel Landhaus Zillertal for 4 nights and throughly enjoyed our stay there. Getting to the hotel by public transport was fairly easy from Innsbruck - a couple of trains and a 15 minute walk from the Fügen-Hart station. We had a fantastic large, clean and comfortable room with the only negative being the problematic free WiFi, which was difficult to log in to in different parts of the hotel (signal strength was good everywhere though). ||||Getting to the ski fields of Spieljoch and Hochfügen (which connects with the Hochzillertal ski area - gives you a large number of pistes to choose from) was easy using the free ski buses that stop right across the road from the hotel. ||||The breakfast was outstanding and the dinners were ok. We also thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon snacks of teas and cakes and on Christmas Eve, the mulled wine. The communal wellness area was good although the showers are very open so they offer no privacy for shyer people. ||||All of the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was perfect for a white Christmas...

Very friendly team running this small hotel. Room looked exactly like the website. Nice bathroom too . High water pressure and fast WiFi, two things I like in a hotel room. The hotel doesn't have airconditioning which would have been nice

Its close to the road for the spieljoch cable car and that's busier than I hoped.. easy to reach and plenty of parking.

Restaurant is comfortable and service attentive. Dinner portions could have been a bit bigger for me. Breakfast selection was nice. Both meals I've seen things run out in the buffet and not being replenished. Not a big deal for me but it did stand out
