Romantik & Spa Alpen-Herz — Hotel in Ladis

We had a very nice time at this spa hotel and the location is really perfect for doing a day hike inbetween the wellness. Sadly some things were disappointing but I still wanna give them 4 stars because of the friendly staff, the spa area and the overall experience :)

First the "bad" / unlucky part: We wanted to take a hot bath after the pool and whirlpool had been pretty cold. Sadly we didn't have any hot water in our room because apparently the boiler to our building broke down. After we reported it, they immediately got the in-house-janitor to fix it but sadly we did not have hot water until after 9 p.m. on our first day :/ It would have been nice to get compensated for that in any way but they didn't offer us anything. (Minus 1 star)

Otherwise the staff was very friendly and the service was very fast and polite. Especially nice was the Spa Area with all the Saunas and the relaxing swings. The views were beautiful (sadly there is currently a huge construction around the hotel which took away from that). This was by far the most modern area of the hotel and we spent the most time there.

The breakfast was very versatile and had lots to offer. The dinner was a bit less spectacular, both in taste and atmosphere. The dining area was a bit too old-fashioned for our taste (see pictures). The hotel could profit from an interior designer and renovate the dining area.

Highlights: Modern Spa Area, spacious room, nice balcony, big bathtub & bathroom, good TV & bed, Event-Sauna, Breakfast, free parking

Downsides: No hot water until late evening (& no compensation for it), construction right outside, very old-fashioned carpet everywhere, 5 course dinner was merely...

It was again wonderful to stay at hotel Alpen-Herz. The family Schmid and their team are so kind and make sure you are feeling like home.||||Due to Covid we had to wear a mask when walking around, but you could remove the mask when you were sitting down. You could disinfect your hands in many places and all guests took good care of social distancing.||||We have never felt uncomfortable and felt very safe. It was very well arranged in the hotel. ||||The rooms are very spacious, the food is very good, the service is perfect and the wellness is fantastic!||||My husband and I were together for 25 years on December 23rd. Very nice hotel, especially for couples of all ages. Absolute highlights that distinguish this hotel from others is the event sauna. The sauna master Mark, who was the Austrian champion in 2022, creates every evening amazing shows that make sweating a special happening. For skiing, this hotel is also great as it is located directly at the lift to one of the best ski areas in Austria. For those who do not want to ski, the hotel also offers guided tours on snow shoes or walks with alpacas. The lovely local guide Gordana takes care of you on these excursions. Much more good can be said about this hotel, but the best proof of its qualities is that we as many other guests come always back for another wonderful vacation in Tirol, skiing in the winter or hiking and relaxing...
