Seehotel Huber — Hotel in Sankt Gilgen

My husband and I stayed at this lovely hotel a few days ago. We received a very warm and friendly reception from the Propietor, she was extremely helpful throughout our stay, nothing being too much trouble.||Our room was spacious and had an extremely comfortable bed, not luxurious but it was very well appointed and had everything we needed, The bathroom too was very adequate. Both bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean.||The view from our room was quite simply stunning and breathtaking and everywhere was so quiet and peaceful, no traffic noise at all.||Our evening meal was good, very tasty and wholesome, not a gastronomic feast but still extremely good.||The breakfast buffet was incredibly good too and included a great variety of breads, ham and cheeses. My Husband also had scrambled egg and bacon which was very tasty. ||I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and I must say we felt the entire experience was really good value...

We visited this hotel as a part of a biketour. We stayed there for two nights, start and end of the journey. We had two different rooms, both just as bad. The bathroom smells disgusting. The carpet in the bedroom was dirty, and they had tried to hide it with a old rug. There was blodspill on our bedsheet. We had to shower in the bathtub, and the water was all over the floor. No drain. ||There is a nice town on the other side of the lake. But the boat ends at 0800 in the evening. The hotel website informs they have a transport offer, but they dont. The manage lady seemed rude. ||We can not recommend this hotel to anyone, and we will never...

We loved this hotel. It is quiet, comfortable, clean and very well run. Our room was lovely with a balcony and a lovely view over the lake. |Breakfast was excellent and the evening meals delicious. Service was excellent too. My husband tried to speak German but their English was much better.|The private beach at the lake was a short walk away. The swimming was wonderful.| We were on a cycling holiday and had some great trips from the hotel on bike paths through the countryside. The ferry over to St Wolfgang is very close to the hotel and you can take bikes on that too.| This hotel is a hidden gem and I would would love to stay...
