Wellness-Alm am Leopoldhof — Hotel in Sankt Gilgen

We had a very good experience here. There is a big pool indoors and a sauna area with many different saunas, relaxation rooms, and an ice room. There is also an outdoor area with sauna and pools.

We were on holiday from Britain and it was very different for us that being naked in many areas was compulsor (all saunas and some outdoor pools) , but we got used to this quickly.

We asked to hire robes in the afternoon but there were not anymore left, this was okay, we hired more towels instead.

We attended a sauna session with the sauna master in the big Alpine Sauna in the outdoor area. This was very interesting and very hot!!

The spa was quite busy but still felt calm and relaxing. It was all very clean and organised! It took us a while to understand the German on the maps and signage, but we translated this and it was okay.

Overall, I would recommend it...

Summary: The most relaxing day we've had in weeks (yes, I know that's relative).

Long Version: My wife and I needed a day to relax, we looked everywhere for a spa that was open, and thankfully came across this one 4 minutes from where we were staying.

For €28 each (+€8 for a robe each) we were able to use the facilities for the entire day, that's an incredible price for what they are offering! And it's not like they then rip you off on food prices, they don't! The food is some of the most affordable, and the tastiest in the area.

I would highly recommend heading here on an overcast...

Enttäuschender Tageswellness-Aufenthalt – leider nicht empfehlenswert

Mein Freund und ich haben einen Tageswellness-Ausflug zur Wellness-Alm gemacht – leider war das Geld dafür absolut nicht gerechtfertigt. Der Außenbereich war besonders enttäuschend: Es gibt nur einen kleinen Pool, der eher einem größeren Gartenpool gleicht. Die Wassertemperatur draußen wird nicht reguliert – es ist reines Sonnenheizen. Außerdem war es dort alles andere als entspannt: Kinder haben laut gespielt, mit dem Ball geworfen – wir wurden sogar getroffen – und niemand vom Personal hat eingegriffen. Getränke im Außenbereich bekommt man in billigen Papbechern serviert – wer trinkt bitte einen Spritzer (Weißweinschorle) aus einem Pappbecher? Das geht gar nicht und wirkt alles andere als hochwertig. Nach dem Aufenthalt wollten wir dem Tag mit einem Essen im angegliederten Restaurant Leopoldhof noch einen schönen Abschluss geben – leider eine weitere Enttäuschung. Die Verständigung mit dem Personal war schwierig, da kaum jemand Deutsch sprach. Mein Schnitzel – das ich wirklich oft und gerne esse – war das schlechteste, das ich je serviert bekommen habe. Zäh, geschmacklos und von minderer Qualität. Der Apfelstrudel war definitiv nicht frisch und hatte die Konsistenz von etwas Aufgewärmtem aus der Mikrowelle – total latschig. Zu allem Überfluss bekam ich zu Hause Ausschlag, vermutlich vom Wasser – was auf mangelnde Hygiene schließen lässt. Auch die Saunalandschaft war unvollständig, da mehrere Saunen gar nicht in Betrieb waren. Fazit: Für den Preis haben wir uns deutlich mehr erwartet. Schlechte Qualität, fragwürdige Hygiene und ein enttäuschender Service – leider...
