We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Seehang. We had a nice, clean room with a balcony looking on to the lake. The room had sufficient space, including a closet in the ante-room. The hotel came with breakfast, which we enjoyed each morning on the patio (there's also indoor seating for breakfast). One important note: the hotel serves excellent light meals at its lounge, which is right on the water, but the hotel does not have a restaurant that you would find in a traditional Gasthaus. For our family, we were travelling via public transportation--no rental car--so we walked or took the boat to other locations for dinner. That's no big deal, unless it's raining--and it rained fairly often when we were there in late June. The staff was friendly and helpful. The wifi was good in the common areas of the hotel but not good in our room. The hotel had a dock, which was nice for watching the sunrise and sunset, as well as for swimming. Hotel Seehang is also a quick walk to the closest landing of the public boat that services the Wolfgangsee; we took the boat to other towns around the lake. You can take the boat to the train station that goes up to the top of the Schafberg Mountain (Schafbergbahn), which was an excellent day trip--the top of the mountain is beautiful and has a surprisingly good restaurant. We were sad to leave Hotel Seehang and Wolfgange See--what a...
Read moreThere aren't a lot of reviews in English on Tripadvisor for the Seehang, so I hope this helps. ||||Seehang is a great choice for a stay on Wolfgangsee. It's located a bit out of town on the lake shore. Parking is available. The rooms are very clean, quite large and comfortable, as well as the bathrooms. They are stocked with bath gel, hand soap and a hair dryer, but you may want to bring your own shampoo. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast room is decorated very cute and the breakfast is ample with the typical European offerings - yoghurt and fruits, meats and cheeses, great breads and they will make you whatever style eggs you want. The free wifi works best in the breakfast room.||||They also have a dinner restaurant on the property (closed Mondays) with a perfect location right on the shoreline. Dinner was excellent, as well as the service. ||||While there we chatted with the owner, Petra, and learned a bit about the history - her grandfather built the Inn is 1960 and it's been run by the family ever since one generation to the next. That just helped to add...
Read moreWe spend our Summer holiday at The wondefull Wolfgang sea in The hotel Seehang.||||The location of the hotel is very good even though you have some traffic between The hotel and the sea.||||We stayed in the hotel apartment, with two bedrooms, a kitchen, bath, toilet and balcony with sea view. The kitchen was quite cosy, but the furniture in the bedrooms was old leftovers that seemed to be thrown in just to fill the rooms, which meant that the rooms werent cosy in any way what so ever.||||The appartment was, compared with other appartments in The neighbourhood, overpriced. Some of the nearby appartments were not much more than half the price than we paid, and seemed in a netter condition. ||||The service was OK, but somehow the owners just dont manage to create the same welcoming atmosphere that I've met in most other family run hotels. ||||The hotel isnt bad in any way and we had a nice holiday, but since there are several hotels with better standards and service at a lower cost in the area, I would recommend staying...
