Chalet Heidi — Hotel in Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser

First time trip to Austria and we had Chalet Heidi recommended to us. |This is a big Chalet but never felt crowded there is a shared kitchen to make a brew and a living area to relax in. |The rooms are spacious and comfortable with nice decor. |We had a week here with our two girls age 12 & 8. |Great location and only a 2min walk for the ski bus! (Ski bus really busy)|Village is a 10min walk at most and has some bars and restaurants. |The chalet is catered and the food was always really good and generous 3 course meal with a cheese selection afterwards if you wanted it. |Wine and beer reasonably priced and can recommend the Muller red house wine. |Skiing was great and the awesome hosts of Mike & Caroline we’re friendly helpful and offer a ski tour of the area a couple times a week. |Great place and a great location highly...

Super hospitality at Chalet Heidi last week with an impromptu visit. After skiing here three times in the winter & a summer day visit a few years ago we were back . Thanks to Mike & Caroline for helping us out at short notice whilst on our Motorhome European adventure. Great hotel for ski trips & summer alike. In winter you can enjoy guided skiing days with the hotel staff & residents in the excellently kept ski area of Ski Welt with its modern fast lift system . It's a large area with Soll,Elmau,Scheffau, Hopfgarten Itter,Going ,Brixen-im-Talle & Westendorf lift linked with bus links to Kitzbuhel,& close to Wildschonau ski area covering Alpbach & Niederau. We have just returned from our latest summer stay in Scheffau, at Chalet Heidi. Caroline and Mike are excellent hosts. Their keen enthusiasm for Scheffau and the Wilder Kaiser area of the Tirol shines out and they make a special effort to offer advice and help whenever they can. We stayed in Room 5 this time and, as usual, it was well appointed, spacious, comfortable, with a beautiful bathroom. Our breakfast was delicious and varied. In the evening we really enjoyed siting in the garden or in the bar, having a drink with our fellow guests. ||The area is beautiful, the walks glorious and there are different restaurants to try, all serving delicious food.
