Welcoming, organised and super clean ! We would recommend this B&B to anyone who wants a relaxing break. The option to walk into the neighbouring wilderness of the National Reserve and the easy 10m regular bus route into the beautiful city centre made for a wonderful visit of Gent. The rooms were extremely clean and minimalist with wonderful insulation to block out any noise. The private patio was also wonderful touch with the birds chirping away. For those worried about the open bathroom layout... You need not worry as a clever sliding door provides the privacy in an instance. Marcel de Gand is set in a peaceful situation not too far from the motorway network into France, Netherlands and onward to the Rotterdam ferries. We particularly appreciated the quietness and tranquility. The apartment was beautifully equipped and arranged. We enjoyed watching visiting birds from the nearby nature reserve.
