My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and thought this was a superb hotel! The hotel has recently been refurbished in a very sympathetic style ensuring that many original features are maintained meaning the history of the building is well preserved. ||||Downstairs there is a beautiful brasserie where breakfast is served in the morning. The breakfast is a buffet of cold meats, salmon, pastries, bread, cheeses, juices, fantastic home made jams etc. and the chef will also prepare fresh eggs to order. ||||The rooms are tastefully decorated in a modern and sleek style offering all mod-cons and facilities you might need. Our room was a fantastic size and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were lucky enough to have a fantastic view of the hotel gardens. ||||The main highlight of this hotel is the staff who are extremely friendly and helpful. They really made this a fantastic stay for us and took real pride in making sure that our stay at the Kronacker was first class. I'd recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a friendly welcome and a very comfortable stay whilst in Tienen. I wouldn't think to stay...

The rooms were spacious enough, and my parents even had one suitable for handicapped people, with access by lift and accessible to a wheelchair. We had breakfast the next morning in the brasserie, and could enjoy the atmosphere. A beautiful reception room with mouldings on the ceiling is a reminder that this was a grand house belonging to the town's prominent family. I want particularly to recognise the helpfulness of the manager, who, as we had still not checked in late in the evening of Christmas Day, contacted us and went out of the way to make arrangements to give us access our rooms late at night, which required him to put a great amount of trust in us! This was hugely appreciated. I would like to return in the summer to enjoy the beautiful park that is like the gardens for the hotel. A big...
Read moreNice building, good food, smelly and poorly cleaned room, weak behaviour at reception.
The building is very nice old building and keeps the feeling of an ancient well renovated hotel. The food and the restaurant is excellent. The rooms are simply equipped but nice.
In my room, there was a very bad smell coming out of the toilet or grey water connections in the bathroom. And the bathroom white floor was full of black hair. I feedback this at the reception (might have been hotel manager, I’m not sure) and the reaction was poor. So they took notice of it , but not any words to say “I’m sorry”. This is somehow a little bit disappointing and...
