My husband and I had an awesome 4-night stay at the Sea Glass Inn in July. The communication/emails/website before arrival was amazing, so we felt very prepared. Tom picked us up at the airport and took us back to it at the end of our stay free of charge. We rented the golf cart during our stay, which was so easy for getting around. It definitely wasn't necessary, as it's a small area and very walkable, but we like to explore so it was fun to have.||Lori and Tom were kind, helpful, knowledgeable and very welcoming. They both recommended great restaurants. The inn was EXTREMELY clean and I am picky. Lori runs the awesome Sea Cow Cantina bar and Tom helped us with snorkel advice and getting kayaks and paddleboards ready to use. He gave great advice for where to go and we almost immediately saw a manatee in front of the property on paddle boards. It was SO cool to be above. They are enormous. We have friends who have spent hundreds and full days searching in the hot sun on boats to see a manatee so we were so excited to get this right in front of the inn for free!||The rooms are small, but perfect for two and seriously well thought out! The room had SO many extras that normal hotel rooms are lacking, such as extra bath mats for the side of your bed to keep the sand out, lots of plugs, a great full length mirror, mini-fridge and microwave. Awesome mattress, we slept SO well. The best ceiling fan ever, which I'm looking into buying for our home. ||Definitely eat at the Jolly Llama one night! Delicious crab rangoons! The Placencia beach club was a great afternoon stop, definitely get the frozen...

Read moreWe found our little corner of Paradise! The Sea Glass Inn in Placencia was perfect for us! Our hosts couldn’t have been more accommodating! They picked us up at the airport and helped us make plans for adventures and had lots of local information to share. Our room was fresh, clean and cozy, but all the little fun details are what struck us. The teak stool, the aromatic soaps and the retractable clothes line in the shower. The fluffy towels. The tiny succulents perched above the mirror, the beautiful sink, the incredibly comfy bed and linens and the black out blinds. Each detail selected with care. It was so much fun to discover each one. We even fed their rescued parrot! We had tea on the veranda each morning, looking at the glistening sea through palm fronds and listening to an orchestra of birds serenading us, while hummingbirds visited the feeder and a delicious breeze blew through. (Speaking of delicious, try the creative drinks and the on-site food truck’s crab rangoons and the fries.) The shaded community area outside invited us to relax and share stories with other guests and our hosts. So much laughter! And the music! Loved it! The pool, beach and bar at the Beach Club we were invited to nearby was picture perfect. We strolled the Placencia Sidewalk and found many nearby yummy restaurants and gelato to die for! It was such a relaxing and enjoyable week for us. Thank you to the whole staff for making our week exactly what we needed....
