The Woods (Bistro,Bar,Lodge) — Hotel in Thimphu District

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and switched to another hotel for our subsequent stay. Staff was humble but did not care for their guests -||||1. There were continuous knocks at door for both nights. Not knocks actually people were thumping on the door till the point we did not open and let them know that they are knocking at wrong room. Hotel stall did not pay any heed when told.||||2. There was no one on the counter for 2 hours at the time of check out. We had to overstay so that we can pay them :)||||3. No drinking water! Can got empty and then you search around to find no one. Whole staff vanished.||||4. Worst! Bed linen was not changed from previous stay. By chance, we noticed it and then staff changed it while laughing and saying sorry. How can you do that? This is crime in hotel business.||||Overall, not recommended at all....

A great hotel to stay with awesome location. It is situated right next to the open amphitheater near clock tower. Lots of options for food, karaoke, bars, liquor stores, night clubs, shops, bicycle rentals nearby. The hotel is clean and rooms are tidy. Rooms are a bit small but not a major problem.
