This Theravada Buddhism version of Walking Buddha was constructed by Thailand as a goodwill to Bhutan. We can see the curling dragon around its base and the lotus petals representing the architectural tint of Thailand. There is a small fountain and a few canopies within the park. It's next to Changlingmithang stadium and can be reached from the Centenary Farmer Market as well. Its riverside location brings a cool breeze during hot summer afternoons. And the weeping willows make it appear good in cameras. Sometimes, there will be advocacy or awareness programs with cultural and culinary programs. However, the entry is free for all.

It is a 45 ft. tall statue of a Walking Buddha built by Thai people in 2012. It is located within the centenary and coronation park in Thimphu city. Initially it was painted with yellow golden and dark red but currently the whole structure is painted with yellow golden color. As of today, it stands as the most attractive structure with the park. Entry fee:Free Time of travel: July 2018

Located just opposite to stadium, its as great as buddha statue. A must visit place. May be one can start a day with buddha statue and end with walking buddha. Along with status, the area is a park for people to enjoy the evening. You can enjoy coffee or juice shop in the park. Behind the status lies the river and a good view point. Awesome and must visit place.
