Walking Buddha Statue — Attraction in Thimphu District

This Theravada Buddhism version of Walking Buddha was constructed by Thailand as a goodwill to Bhutan.

We can see the curling dragon around its base and the lotus petals representing the architectural tint of Thailand.

It is a 45 ft. tall statue of a Walking Buddha built by Thai people in 2012. It is located within the centenary and coronation park in Thimphu city.
