Chobe Bush Lodge — Hotel in Chobe District

As part of a small group travelling with Jules Verne I stayed here for 3 nights. It was a very pleasant and informative experience. Special thanks must go to Selelo who co-ordinated our whole stay. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was professional and friendly the whole time. ||The Chobe Bush Lodge is on the banks of the River Chobe and the grounds have plenty of wildlife roaming - baboons, monkeys and the gorgeous warthogs in particular. There are warning notices that crocodiles can be found sometimes by the water edge! ||The food is good, particularly breakfast and the dinners in the outside grill restaurant. The nearby cocktail bar on the riverbank is also fantastic and a good place to see the sunset. There is an al a carte menu for lunch and as a vegetarian I found that a little restrictive and not quite up to the standard of the other meals. ||We had some amazing game drives with Samson - we had him for the first trip and was able to request him for those that followed. We also had a trip on the Chobe River which surpassed all expectations. The guide was, I think, called Senior. He was very knowledgeable and we learnt and saw a lot. It was very clear that he was very respectful to the animals, possibly more so than some other boats on the river at the same time. ||Very comfortable bed, but there were one or two holes in the mosquito net. I kept forgetting to report it - there were virtually no mosquitos evident during our stay.||Thanks to all at...

A hidden Gem in the Heart of Chobe. I recently had the pleasure of staying at chobe Bush Lodge, and I must say it was un forgettable experience! Nestled in the heart of chobe National Park,this lodge offers breath taking views, exceptional service, and unparalleled wildlife encounter.

Accommodation: The rooms were spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated with large windows that allowed us to take in the stunning views of the surrounding Bush. Food and Drinks: The meals were delicious,with a focus on local cusine and fresh ingredients. The staff were happy to accommodate our dietary requests and the sundowner cocktail were a high light of our stay.

Came viewing: The lodges expert guides took us on thrilling game drives,where we sported incredible array of wild life,including elephants, lions, and leopards.

Service:The staff were warm,friendly, and attentive making us feel right at home. Overall: Chobe Bush Lodge is a hidden Gem that offers an authentic and immersive African Safari experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable adventure.

Questa struttura é presente nello stesso complesso del Chobe Safari Lodge con il quale condivide tutti i servizi, ristoranti, bar, gite, ecc, quindi l’unica differenza sono le stanze. |Questa struttura l’ho percepita un po’ vecchia e da ammodernare. Le stanze sono molto spaziose e confortevoli dove però il mobilio, le porte, infissi e queste cose qui erano un po’ vecchie ed usurate, nulla che pregiudicasse il comfort però dava l’aspettò di vecchio. Sono poi silenziosissime e pulite (questo è l’importante), dispone di un ampissimo ripiamo dove poter aprire 2 valige e un vasto bagno. |Del bagno non mi è piaciuto il fatto che non fosse diviso dalla camera ma a dividerlo c’è solo una tenda da tirare, un po’ scomodo oltre che, accendendo una luce in bagno, si illumina tutta la stanza e si rischia di svegliare il partner.|Quanto ai ristoranti, si può scegliere liberamente dove mangiare tra i ristoranti delle due strutture. Il pranzo è a la carte in entrambi i ristoranti mentre la cena e a la carte presso il bush lodge mentre è a buffet presso il safari lodge. |I pasti a la carte ci sono piaciuti molto mentre quello a buffet meno, le pietanze le ho trovate tutte fredde, un po’ secche e stoppose. La colazione offre un buffet non troppo vario e si può scegliere dal menu un piatto caldo da preparare al momento. Quello che non mi è assolutamente piaciuto è che ad esempio un cappuccino lo si debba pagare a parte e non è incluso. Non mi è anche piaciuto il fatto che, facendo un Game drive alle cinque di mattina e quindi si è obbligati a fare colazione al rientro, essendo vicini l’orario di chiusura della colazione, il buffet era mezzo vuoto e non rifornito. Assolutamente inaccettabile!|Quanto ai servizi poi, nel nostro pacchetto erano inclusi e abbiamo partecipato a due Boat Cruise sul fiume Chobe e a due game drive.|Le gite in barca sono state molto belle (anche se un po’ l’una la fotocopia dell’altra, avremmo preferito che ci offrissero un’altra attività differente) e abbiamo potuto avvistare tantissimi elefanti, ippopotami, coccodrilli, bufali e tanti altri animali. I safari in auto invece anche sono stati molto belli in quanto siamo riusciti a vedere un leopardo con un cucciolo, vari leoni e tanti altri animali. Quello che mi è piaciuto meno e che autovetture utilizzate erano molto vecchie e poco confortevoli e poi non hanno organizzato i gruppi in maniera tale da poter fare i due Safari con la stessa guida. Questo ci ha portato a perdere un pochino di tempo poiché le due guide hanno perso tempo a farci la stessa introduzione per due volte, ci hanno spiegato la vita è abitudini degli animali allo stesso modo ebene o male ci hanno portato per lo stesso percorso mentre se avessimo avuto la stessa guida, avremmo potuto sfruttare meglio il tempo a disposizione e ci avrebbe potuto portare in altre zone così da poter avvistare magari anche animali differenti e vedere paesaggi differenti.|Quindi qui tutto sommato siamo stati bene anche se la struttura è un po’ da rinnovare sia nella struttura che nei servizi. È un’ottima zona dove avere un assaggio del parco Chobe per poi ritornarci...
