Chef Rakesh and his lovely team (Thero & Yame served us) have conjured up magical meals in a rather unlikely location … on the shores of the Chobe River in Kasane. We are celiac (gluten free), and almost everything is both delicious and gluten free! The milkshakes are fluffy and awesome, and a must! We had the butter chicken, Rogan Josh , paneer spinach and the potatoes with sauce. I suspect we will be back tomorrow to ensure we have some dal!

The decor is a little unassuming but if you sit outside it's pretty with the lights. The service is great and the food is delicious! It makes for a great change from nearby lodge restaurants. The portions are quite large, especially the starters and it is exceptionally good value for money. If you are staying nearby for a few nights I would recommend a trip to try the food!

Fabulous Indian food, the best I have eaten in a long time. Flavoursome, freshly cooked. Staff friendly and helpful. First impressions of the restaurant not brilliant but go past that and you will not be disappointed. Food outstanding. Wholly recommend.

Summary - excellent Indian food, generous position sizes, quality service at a reasonable price. Don't be put off by the outside appearance, go in sit down and order, you won't regret it!

We've been staying at the chobe bush lodge for the past couple of days, the food at the lodge is amazing however we felt the need for something else(not the standard lodge offering) and decided to give Tandurei a go. Party of six all ordered different menu items, all six of us were throughly impressed. To top it off, the waitres even split the bit between the three couples making payment a breeze. I would go again when I'm...

We chose this place because it had good reviews but for a Saturday night it was dead. We still went in and ordered food. Chicken 65, and lollipop for starters and tandoori chicken, garlic naan, rara chicken, chili chicken and garlic fried rice. Not a single dish had flavor or even a hint of spice. We complained to the owner and he just made excuses that there is no vegetable and herbs available at the moment but if other restaurants can provide good food why not them? The owner never apologized and we left without eating barely anything. I would not recommend this...

It's excellent food and pretty much the same in all three outlets in Botswana although you gotta be careful with the spice level. Francistown is hot hot. Kasane is similar to Maun. You can of course ask for any level of spice on any dish. I can't fault the food. It's an excellent place for a beer with an Indian bread as a snack. It's also a great place for a full meal of course with beer. Free WiFi in Maun and Kasane. Maun is fast fast. We've been to all three places multiple times and we will keep...
