Good and not-so-good points for this pousada in Jericoacoara.||Basically, it's a simple pousada with a decent pool. The rooms are rather basic and the breakfast is also pretty basic.||The front desk staff are nice and helpful. They did their best to offer us a different room when we asked for a change, being unsatisfied of the first one that was offered us.||I booked what was advertised as a triple room (we are a couple with a small boy) but it was actually a standard room with an extra bed which reduced a lot the available space.||The bathroom was acceptable but of a low standard from my viewpoint, and there is very little storage space for the bags and personal belonging. In the 2nd room there was a safe which was missing in the 1st one.||There is a wifi available for free but most of the time it was so slow that it was unusable.||||Overall there was nothing really "wrong" with this pousada if it wasn't for the price, that I found extremely high for this standard. For a hefty 620 R$ a day there are many and much better options. Unfortunately, at booking time there were no many options left for Jericoacoara in January.||We were two couples (one with a small boy) and shared the same overall impression. Should the price be half as much, then the price/quality ratio would be just right.||||I won't return to this pousada, unless the pricing gets much...
Read moreI returned last month to this Pousada and I was very disappointed. I've stayed there 4-5 years ago and I returned because my first experience was very good. They used to be very friendly and accommodating. However it has all changed. I was told the ownership changed and I could see the difference. The breakfast was okay, the hard part was to find a table. Every morning we had problems finding a place to sit. They know everyone leave to do tours in the morning but they didn't plan. The room was not cleaned one of the days and the excuse was that they thought we were in the room. How? This is a small place, they saw me leave. How about knocking on the door? They say they have internet but you have to stand next to the registration desk to get it. They used to have nice couches and hammocks for us to use but now they have two uncomfortable chairs. They said they provide beach towels but 2 out of the 3 times we asked they said they didn't have any left because they were "sent to another hotel". This means they could not provide us with one because they decided to send to another place. The TV in the room is a joke. I think it is 12 inches and the quality of the signal was horrible. We basically had one channel. ||||I will return to Jeri many times but never again to Pousada Caju. There are many other good places around for the same price. Do...
Read moreIn a very good position in Jeri, villa Caju offer a nice accomodation. The apartament n8 is estetically cute, very reserved and the breakfast served is homemade and genuine. Common space are good and quiet. Guys at recepion are always ready to resolve any problem!|The only problem in the room is the finiture a bit old. On cieling and wall you can see some nice holes (lucky that in Jeri never rains ) , but especially there are 2-3cm of space between wall and windows, and for this reason enter too much wind (Jeri have a lot of wind, so prepare yourself if you book something not at ground floor to listen a lot of wind), dust and insects. The room is above the kitchen, but due they prepare only breakfast, you smell only nice scent of cake :-) . At the end I think is good...
