This hotel stay was disappointing. The excellent customer service stopped after we booked our stay. My WhatsApp messages went unanswered after we paid and I sent two requests. I had reminded the staff that my daughter’s birthday was the day we arrived, on multiple occasions, yet I still had to ask for her to be celebrated at dinner on our first night. There was no birthday card provided (as promised) and no one sang, but we saw other birthday people being sang to during our stay. I also requested that our room be cleaned via WhatsApp and that message went unanswered as well. The room we had was very tiny with 3 beds crammed it in. It was very outdated and we were expecting more for the money we paid and high hotel rating. The play area was great for entertaining my kids but lacked necessities like bandaids and basic first aid kit items and more importantly, a bathroom. Each time my kids had to use the bathroom we had to go very far and return which was super inconvenient. The food at the resort overall was probably the best part of our stay. My favorite night was Peruvian night; I really enjoyed the ceviche. The food at the pool restaurant was also very good but very slow. On the day we checked out we had to wait 45 minutes for a very small order. On a final note, I find the hotel to be overpriced. For the price we paid I would expect for lunch to be included and at the very least, beverages. I was shocked when we were charged for sodas and juices. I probably wouldn’t return but if you have older kids and enjoy traveling to the city for lunch you may enjoy it more than...
Read moreA very conformable hotel, with good service, but considering the price the hotel must improve its service and rooms. ||I stayed with my family for 4 nights. ||the hotel price include dinner. ||Each night had a different dinner theme: Mexican, Italian, Arab and so on.||On one of the nights, Italian, there were a lots of guests e only one table/chef to prepare food for so many people, consequently long waiting lines were made for not so fancy Italian dish.||There is no where in the hotel, except at front desk in a different building that we can get tap filtered water. Consequently we have to pay for water bottles at 3-4 times its current price. I don't think the hotel needs to make more money profiting from drinking water.||My room had problem with hot water, and when I called room service, it was as if this was no big deal. The problem was fixed, but the cold shower I had already taken could not be '"resolved" with that fix.||Those are some examples that are not big deal if considered isolated, but when considering the price we were charged, I will think twice if want to stay again in the hotel.||The hotel provide a very slow and...
Read moreI stayed two nights while my spouse was attending a conference. The rooms are charmimg and comfortable. It's an easy (5 minute) walk into town for sightseeing and shopping. The staff were incredibly helpful in arranging a car and guide to take me to the local waterfall an hour out of town. Not all staff spoke English, but we managed to communicate and, when language failed, they called an English-speaking staffer who was off duty that day but very cheerfully helped. ||There were lots of birds to view and even a group of little monkeys who were attracted to the porch area outside the reception area by a mango that had been lodged (by staff, I assume) in a tree. ||Dinner was buffet-style and was tasty and generous, with options for all tastes, including vegetarians. ||There is a large pool, poolside sauna and bar, kids' area with slide and a waterfall-like contraption, lots of chairs, and...
