I loved this place.||||Tucked away down a hill, round a corner, middle of nowhere.||||Private car park and tiny.||||Arrived and welcomed by the landlady, 4 of us were shown 2 rooms in this quaint little house (well quite large really)||||The rooms were on the 1st floor, only 1 story high anyway, they were next door and both had air con, and en suite with views into the gardens.||||The rooms were attached to the hallways which were open and all wooden with balconies and hammocks. Nice and spacious and airy.||||The decor was new and made homely.||||The TV's had no english channels.||||The breakfast room was downstairs, as there are only a few rooms here, the diner was a shared table to sit about 8. ||Good healthy breakfast, clean and fresh.||||Throught the garden and a 5 second walk you are in the private beach, no sunbeds as its not really needed, there are a few locals wandering about and unfortunatly a few dogs who dont clean up after themselves.||||All in all a very pleasent stay, no good for walking disabilities as too may steep areas and stairs. Good for families...
Read moreWe arrived at night, off season with drizzle and cloud and almost no visibility and therefore what a wonderful surprise to wake up the next morning to bright sunshine and to find ourselves in such a lovely spot! The pousada overlooks a lovely little bay with boats moored close by. There is a short, easy path down to the beach. The room is a good size, bed comfortable and bathroom clean and modern and with toiletries. A fridge was stocked with water and beer. We went for a walk down the beach to watch the fishermen return with their catch in the morning and then continued up a little trail through trees and around a small headland (only a short distance) and discovered a tiny swimming beach. At this time of year the only building by the beach (a beachfront bar) was shut but I can imagine that it would be a nice place to spend some time! This pousada is a great place to stay if you have your own car as it's about 10km out of town. Breakfast was in a pleasant room and a long dining table meant that it was easy to talk to...
Read moreExcellent location about 15 km from Paraty. Much better than to stay in town if you are looking for nice beaches.||A car is recommended||We booked their 2 bed-room house right on the beach of Praia Grande and next to Praia Prainha.||The house was a former fisherman’s house ideally situated, very clean but with little comfort.||No glass windows, only window shutters. We could hear the waves at night and the small fishermen boats in the morning.||But in the evening no possibility to turn on the lights because the insects could get in easily. ||The rooms at the pousada were well-maintained, modest, clean and did have glass windows. ||We hesitated to change but finally the location of this house was terrific so we took advantage during the day and went out at night.||The most positive point of the pousada was the breakfast. Outstanding. ||The negative point was that nobody spoke English so communication was difficult as we speak only a few words...
