The room had a nice touch with an outdoor clothes dryer, which was great for drying towels and swimwear to reuse the next day. However, overall, the room was disappointing. The TV kept waking me up in the middle of the night, and watching anything required an extra payment, which I wasn’t interested in. Unfortunately, the TV seemed to be there just to make noise. The handle on the main door fell off, and there was a dangerous step in the bathroom.
The swimming pool was another issue—it wasn’t refreshed with new water or treated with chemicals all summer. As a result, I ended up getting a virus after leaving the island, which made me sick.
The staff were friendly, mostly young workers, but the Argentinian clerk had little knowledge about the island, the cities, or even the best way back to Rio. Surprisingly, the cook was more helpful in that regard.
Breakfast was okay—good cakes, but poor protein options. For the price, I expected better. Overall, the stay didn’t...
Read moreWe stayed in one of their standard suites locaed in the main building over two floors. To stop anyone walking by the window to see us inside we needed to close the shutters which wasn't as issue as there was only one room beyond ours. Read moreHotel is a good walk to town with shops and restaurants, they try to keep it clean but rooms are a bit dated and pretty bare and bathrooms were tiny. You would do well to book one of the chalets at this resort at least it will give you a little more room and privacy. We had to refuse our first room as the fridge didn't have an outlet to plug into and we had a sideboard that actually covered half the door to the already tiny bathrooms. They had two pools but honestly I wouldn't go into either, one was almost green and covered in leaves and the other was pretty mirky. Breakfast was included and was fine with a nice selection of juices and fresh baked goods. Jus keep in mind this id no Fairmont and you...
