The location of this small hotel is very good, it is just 5 minutes walk from the bus stop where the bus from Rio stops and goes back to Rio. (bus company 1001). The hotel is in a quiet street which is a bit dark in the evening, but we think it is safe to walk there any time. It is near to the main walking streets of Buzios, so the location is very convenient. Our room was on the ground floor (room number 12) and it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and a lady always made fresh, delicious omelet for us. It was really great. The afternoon tea was also a nice plus.||||We had to minor issues during our stay. The first is the thin walls and the noise we heard from other rooms and from the hall. The other issue we experienced was the shower in the bathroom. There is a device attached to the shower which makes the water warm. For us it wasn't warm enough and it was a bit unpleasant to have a shower in almost cold water. On the other hand the water pressure was also weak. ||||Another thing that foreign tourist should know is that the hotel staff don't speak a single word in English. They don't even understand the simplest English words and it is impossible to communicate with them. It is like playing Activity and hoping they figure out what we need.||||The WIFI in the room was weak, so we had to sit in the dining area to be able to access the internet perfectly. Since the place is small this wasn't bad at all.||||Overall we had a great stay and the noise wasn't that big to really bother as, however for some people it can be disturbing. Maybe on the upper floor would have been a better choice. The shower issue was a bigger problem and I recommend to the hotel manager to re-think the way how the shower works, because we like hot water when we have shower and I assume we are not the only tourist who like it this way.||||Near the hotel there are many places to eat or drink something. There is a buffet restaurant nearby which was very good. ||||I took some pictures about our room to make it easier to decide whether it is the...
Read moreI stayed here for 5 nights with my sister during a backpacking trip. We were looking forward to a relaxing break from bustling rio and we certainly got that. ||||We arrived late from the 1001 bus and the pousada is no more than 5 minutes walk away which Is great, the location really is excellent as you are just round the corner from the Main Street, the Rua days Pedras which you can still hear faintly at night but nothing to bother about. ||||The room was large, spacious, clean and had all the facilities we needed including a mini bar which was no more expensive than the shop down the road, a television, bathroom, wardrobe, lamps and a very comfortable large bed. ||||The pousada is lovely and quaint and all the furniture looks and feels brand new. The breakfast was good, there was a choice of pastries, cereals and you could also get a cooked breakfast. There was also juice, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and water. Coffee and cakes was also served in the evenings which was free of charge,||||The staff were friendly and let us get on with it. They were very helpful when we asked for advise on where to eat, drink and visit. ||||The only fault I would mention is that during a thunderstorm, all electric was cut off which was no problem but it meant that we were left in complete darkness for most of the night and we saw other quests with torches but we were not given one. It would be nice to have a torch or candle of some sort as the thunderstorm took a long time to clear. ||||Overall a very enjoyable stay and I feel like I got great value for money. Buzios is an amazing place and I would go...
Read moreMe and my husband recently spent a week here and really liked this little pousada. The staff were always nice and helpful, especially Caroline who tried really hard to help when we had problems charging our phones! Thank you - always a smile on your face. The location is perfect 2 minutes walk to Rua das Pedras with all its restaurants and boats and water taxis to several beaches. Also very close to the bus station but still in a small quiet street with no traffic. We were in room 21 very nice and clean and a really comfy bed too. The bathroom had been renovated and I really liked the new electric shower! I have spent a lot of time travelling in South America and I'm not a great fan of the old style electric shower with the wires exposed. We both liked the breakfast and you could also order omelette or scrambled eggs. The cakes were yummy and the afternoon coffee and cakes is a nice touch especially for a Swedish person like myself who loves good strong coffee and cakes! I would be very happy to stay here again and can really recommend for a relaxing time in...
