I don't even know where to start but the bottom line is this place consists of rooms/efficiency units that are owned and operated by individual owners. That means that the quality of your unit is determined by the unit owner. Ours appeared to be decently furnished but we had so many issues including some that kept us from getting to sleep such as nasty nasty stained sheets. Details:|||1. At check in they didn't have our reservation. That got sorted out in 5-10 min as the hotel reception had to call the unit owner and figure out what happened. |||2. The unit didn't have soap and shampoo and apparently that might depend on the unit you are in. After talking to reception though they brought us some. Would have been nice to have more than two towels but we made due.|||3. Pool or beach towels need to be rented for $6R each. Reception also sells bottled and canned drinks which is convnient.|||4. The most disgusting things was that when we went to bed which only had a thin sheet on top the sheet that covers the mattress had brown, clear/translucent, and blue stains. Who know's what the hell they are from but how does the maid even put these on. It took multiple trips to reception to get this fixed because they have to call the unit owner to fix it. It took an hour for the owner to show up who came with 2 little kids in tow. He took off the dirty sheet and brought me two new ones. One of the new ones also had stains. I had to put the one that looked clean or at least wasn't all stained on the bed. It was too short that it couldn't reach under the mattress, just hanging over the edges. That meant that while you're sleeping or moving the sheets would pull up exposing the mattress. Also very gross. |||5. The bathroom is small but was relatively clean. Traces of hair in the bathroom on the floor and on the wall. There is a hair dryer. The toilet seat was not attached to the toilet. The hose that is attached to the toilet (that we didn't use) did not have a nozzle attached. It was like the end of a garden hose.|||6. Breakfast was decent and cost $25R per person. They made you eggs or tapioca crepe if you wanted it. They had fruit and some cakes, juice, yogurt, cous cous, sausage and cheese.|||7. The hotel location is the best part. Right on the beach and only a couple of minutes to the main strip where the street party, bars, restaurants, and clubs are.|||8. Pool - the pool area is nice. It's on the 3rd floor with a nice ocean view. There are lots of tables and chairs as well as a few loungers. There is a bar and occasionally a bartender that you can purchase drinks from. The pool though had cloudy water, white foamy stuff and garbage collected in one corner. Didn't smell well chlorinated either. The water is 3-4' deep and appeared safe to swim but I wouldn't put...
Read moreIf this hotel was any closer to the beach it would get wet. You have a beautiful view of boats bobbing in the surf with your morning coffee. The layout is a bit awkward though. From recepção you go through the parking garage to reach the stairs or the elevator. Rooms are long and narrow with inadequate lighting. Those awful compact fluorescents that seem to be endemic everywhere in Brazil add no warmth at all. Fitted sheets would prevent the rumpled mess your bed turns into overnight. It would add comfort to have a table and chairs on the balcony. Or a hammock. But hey, you are in Praia de Pipa, so don't complain. Go to the beautiful rooftop pool for a drink and a swim. Enjoy a great breakfast served up on a boat and then go explore the fantastic beaches and the endearing little town that make Pipa a terrific vacation...
Read moreOur group of five stayed in rooms 306 and 307 for just one night, but we were able to check in early and check out late, so our stay seemed longer than it actually was. We enjoyed hanging out at the pool til late in the evening and watching the tide go in and out. Breakfast was not included in the price of our rooms, but the price of R20 was great for the wide variety of items on the buffet. The location is quiet and convenient to both the beach and the main street in Pipa. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. They arranged a boat trip for us and recommended great restaurants. We would have liked to have wi-fi in our room, but we settled for using it in the lobby. We plan to visit Pipa again and we...
