Pousada Tropical Wind — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Fortaleza

The pousada is located very well, just a few minutes of walking to the centre of Cumbuco and also to a beach. But as it's not exactly in the town center, it's calm and silent in the night.||Breakfast are excellent. Actually, during our entire stay in Brazil this pousada offered the best selection for breakfast.||Room was spacious, clean... But I don't know why we got the only one room in the entire hotel that had no terrace/balcony. That's something we were unhappy with. Really unhappy.||The pool is large enough, but frankly, we didn't use it, as it seemed that its filtration system was off and the water was a bit brown from my point of view.||WiFi worked well in restaurant, while in the room...

It took a bit of searching to find this pousada in a small side street, but this is a quiet and cosy pousada, with space and very clean rooms as well as a pretty big and deep pool. The hotel employees are very friendly and helpful but you need to know a bit of Portugese to be able to communicate with them. Luckily there is also the friendly German owner who speaks fluent English and who is willing to help you with tips and recommendations. We also took a 5 day kite surfing initiation course via his school which was super fun. Also take a tour with one of the buggies through the dunes and on the beach, it is awesome! We stayed here for our first 4 nights in Brazil, Cambucco is a a great place to kite, particularly as it is close to Fortaleza airport. Mani, the owner is one of the original kiters in this area, being from Germany he came and helped develop the sport here so he is a wealth of knowledge. Clean spacious rooms, breeze balcony, a good pool that is deep and awesome breakfast (fruit salad to die for)! The pousada is very close to good restaurants and bars.
