The hotel is rather new and for us it was perfect. Rooms are designed clean and modern and very tasteful, there is a very comfortable bed, air condition, a great bathroom and a terrace to the little garden.||The breakfast area is integrated between reception and pool area and can be used in the evening to have a drink and chat. Breakfast for us was also wonderful with fruit, juices, coffee, rolls, jam and anything we wanted.||The receptionists and owners are very helpful when we needed any information about where to go in town for dinner or also for the best way to avoid traffic jam when we continued our journey.||||The Pousada Villa Maeva is located at praia da concha which is the first beach coming from the center of Itacare. You have the beach there with the beach restaurants, an unpaved street behind the restaurants and then the hotels/pousadas. Praia da concha is a beach with basically no waves so for us it was great to swim, but they also rent SUP (stand up paddle) and such things. There are many bars/restaurants (cabanas) along that beach that serve ice cold bear and delicious food, mostly seafood. What we also liked at that location is the fact that the cabanas close around 6 pm, therefore the Pousada Villa Maeva is at a very quiet place at night. For dinner it is only a 10 minutes walk or less than 5 minutes drive to the downtown with many restaurants of all...
Read moreI decided to stay here after doing lots of research and wanted somewhere pretty chilled and a bit indulgent.||It was out of main season so lots of places were closed and we had quite a bit of rain. But the pousada had a lovely spacious communal area and each room had it's own covered balcony so this wasn't too much of a problem. ||The pousada is located right opposite one of the main beaches with a lovely bar/beach restaurant opposite. It's a little (10 min) walk into the main town but I liked the peaceful location.||Itacare is a chilled surfer style town, where as a solo female traveller i felt very safe.||The rooms are lovely (if a little cramped) although not much hanging space for clothes. But the huge beds are super comfy.||Staff are lovely and really helpful (but speak little to no English - great for me to practice my Portuguese). ||The breakfast and afternoon tea - yes afternoon tea(!) were fabulous. Freshly made tapioca each morning, in lots of flavours, which they'll happily keep coming. And pastries and tarts that wouldn't be out of place in France.||There was a smallish pool at the front which was great for a quick morning dip.||I loved staying here and would definitely stay here again when I go back to Itacare in...
Read moreIt was our first time in Itacaré and after a night spent at a Hostel we were lucky enough to find Pousada Villa Maeva. My girlfriend and I were walking on the street nearby the beach when we were attracted by the nice pool and the architecture of the pousada, so we decided to drop in to ask prices and few information. The owner, a very kind brazilian girl, gently told us everything and showed the rooms. We actually fall in love with the superior suite, a beautiful room with a big bed a comfortable shower and a fantastic terrace with a jacuzzi. We were amazed and decided to stay here for our entire stay in Itacaré.||The room was not the only fascinating thing, we loved the breakfasts (never had the same thing twice) and the afternoon tea with pie. ||Long story short: if you're in Itacaré don't miss the opportunity to stay at Pousada Villa Maeva. ||||Cheers,...
