Pousada Solar dos Deuses — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Salvador

This boutique hotel is absolutely amazing, and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning on staying in the area of Salvador. Our time here was absolutely lovely. So much so, that I really don’t have a single complaint.

The pousada is located in the historic district of Salvador, where there a lots of nice restaurants and shops for those wanting to get souvenirs from here. It’s also a short walk to the elevator, which takes you down to the big market, which also has souvenirs, restaurants, etc. You can also walk nearby to an overlook where you can see the water and the port, which is beautiful.

As for the hotel itself, it is only 6 rooms, which are all very cozy and nicely decorated. Each room is themed after a God or Goddess from the Candomblé religion. The room was very comfortable and very clean. I loved that the shampoo, conditioner and body soap was supplied for the shower. They also have a lovely breakfast room service!

The final piece to this hotel is the lovely staff! We had such a lovely time and felt so attended to. All of the staff is lovely and super caring. We had lots of lovely conservation with both Alessandro and Sandra, and look forward to returning, simply to see our friends again!

I really can’t say enough good things, and would stay here again when I am able to return to Salvador!

For those who are not familiar with Salvador and the area, my only other recommendation would be to be careful in some of the plazas/streets, particularly at night. Many will approach you asking for money, however it is best to continue on as well as to carry minimal items with you. Good travel advice in general if you’re looking...

Pousada Solar Dos Deuses in Salvador, Bahia, is situated right in the heart of the city and its tourist sites. This makes it easy for travelers to explore on foot and find nearby restaurants.|The building exudes historical charm, featuring a beautiful old staircase and high-ceilinged rooms where the warmth of wood prevails. The room we stayed in was a cozy suite, perfect for two or three people. It offers comfortable space for reading, working, and dining.|The staff is extremely friendly and attentive to the needs of travelers and communication is possible in multiple languages.|The breakfasts are delicious and offer a wide variety that changes from one day to the next. However, the bathroom could use some improvements, as the plumbing is outdated. Lastly, there's some noise on the square until around midnight, but if you're visiting Salvador, it's likely you enjoy Brazilian music....

We absolutely adored this sweet boutique hotel in the ideal Pelhourinho location. We were traveling as a family of 3 and chose the "Nana" suite (king bed + extra single bed). It is spacious and has the most wonderful view of the pedestrian street below.
