Pousada Sombra do Cajueiro — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Santarém

We stayed at this pousada for a week and we couldn't have made a better choice. The welcome from Eliana and Eduardo was not only professional but also very friendly. Eduardo, who did boat tours years ago and is now waiting for the new boat, organized the trips for us with a friend of his and we had good organization and a great price. Eliana bought us some objects in Santarem that we noticed in the furnishings of the rooms and that weren't found in Alter. the rooms: they are furnished with very good taste, clean and quiet. We were in the only room on the first floor, not with a great view but spacious. The bathroom is small but functional; excellent shower. The whole pousada is well cared for, Eliana cares a lot. The breakfast is good. The pousada is in a quiet, safe street, a 10/15 minute walk from the center and you will also find the laundry along the way. A beautiful Bed and Breakfast with very lovely owners. The rooms are clean with a strong air conditioning and comfortable beds. The pousada is very quite with beautiful flowers and and a nice topical breakfast, local fruits, breads, sweets, cold cuts and cheese, you even can order omelets and tapioca. ||We stayed their before the jungle marathon and the owners assisted us with all special needs we had. They were very helpful and even drove us them self to the pick up location of our event.||We strongly recommend this pousada to anybody visiting Alter do Chao, looking for a lovely and safe place to stay with owners that really love...

We stayed in September 2015. We were already expecting great service after reading reviews here. Pros: sparkling clean. AC, mini bar, quiet location, TV, hangers, hammock hooks, nice bathroom, comfortable room and bed, pleasant gardens. You have breakfast outdoors, surrounded by songbirds and trees. Breakfast includes 3 types of fruit, 3 types of bread, cheese, ham, jam, 2 types of juice and 1 tapioca per guest. Hotel staff called Anne was very helpful and friendly. Warm hosts.
