The only positive points were the central location and the breakfast with a lot of options. The service was very bad. Starting with the reception, upon arrival, when I was charged R$ 20 more, each day, in two rooms (we were a group of 4). The allegation was that only my name appeared on the reservation, when, in fact, I had selected double rooms, with prices for two people. I didn't want to expand the discussion, because I was with my elderly in-laws. Otherwise, both in the common areas and in the rooms, the curtains are gray, even dusty. The location of this hotel is perfect, quiet street, but very handy to down town, close to restaurants, bakeries, pharmacies and transportation right at the door steps.||The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, quiet air conditioning, bed was a little hard for my taste.||The staff was helpful and friendly, breakfast excellent, with many choice for all tastes and included on the price. The Monreale in Sao Jose is reasonably comfortable for a relatively low price, the rooms are comfortable yet basic. The staff at both checking and checkout were great and efficient despite my very limited Portuguese language skills.
