Mercure Sao Jose dos Campos — Hotel in Região Imediata de São José dos Campos

The hotel is good enough. The rooms are small and have very old TVs with no HD. That is not a problem normally. What I did find troublesome was that there is no iron in the rooms. You need to go to an "ironing room" that consists solely in one iron and one ironing board.

The breakfast is good. Buffet. It's the same menu daily thou, but is good. The coffee is good.

The dinner not so much. I ordered a Capresse risotto which was very bad. Did not tasted like risotto or caprese at all.

Some members of the staff seem unfamiliar with the charging system which resulted in long waits trying to have everything ready at check out.

We spent a week at the hotel while in town for work, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The location was excellent—close to everything we needed and very convenient for our schedule. I have stayed in this hotel for a while now. I came from heaven to hell, depending on the apartment you assign to me. That is what I mean with inconsistence. The last apartment was old, still clean, but old with excessively worn (for a hotel like Mercure) furniture. The air conditioning was not working properly (not cooling down at all) and there was a residual light in the internal light that prevented me from sleeping well.
