Veronica hotel — Hotel in Balchik

I made this reservation through BC an online booking service||I turned up & the hotel entry door was locked, I pressed the bell & after about 5 minutes waiting two tsiganin (gypsies) turned up in filthy tracksuits, I explained we had a reservation & was told I had to leave my bags as they needed to show the room first, the room I was offered was on the ground floor with an outstanding view of a concrete wall, it did not represent the pictures on he site & I suspect is primarily used for staff accommodation.||||When I said I'd reserved a room with a sea view I was told that they had closed the hotel for winter & there was no water to the upper levels, when I said the reservation was for one of those rooms he shrugged and I was informed it was my problem !? I challenged this & he then said his sister had told Booking.com that sea view rooms were not available and therefore it was the booking company's fault ! Clearly he was lying & has subsequently done so again by informing the booking company I did not turn up, as deceitful as he was dirty.||||A truly appalling experience and the only issue I have ever had with Booking.com over any reservation, I ended up paying twice as much money for a room nearby but at least I had my sea view & excellent service.||||My final view is that they should investigate this fully & decide whether they should in the future invite or submit your customers to this...

Having booked a room via Booking.com and received confirmation of a sea view room, arrived to find the hotel was closed for the winter. The strange looking characters who unlocked the gates then showed me to a room which resembled something from the London Dungeon and smiled at me saying "it's okay". It wasn't okay! They then said I could have the sea view room I'd booked but I'd have no water, but that was okay too. Unbelievable. Had to drive around to find alternative accommodation. All in all quite a stressful experience as lots of the hotels were closing down for the season but managed to find a wonderful hotel...with my sea view! Very strange that Booking.com invite bookings for hotels which have closed for the winter. Something to...

I definitely have mixed feelings but it wasn't horrible. The free wifi was nice but it never worked and when it did, it was only for short periods of time and still wasn't really good. The rooms were clean and beds were made. The hot water did stop at one point and it was a cold shower for me, along with that, the drain clogged so we had to wait a bit before anyone else could shower. The internet went completely out once and the tv was continuously glitchy. The toilet paper was not enough for a family of 3 so we had to use tissues to wipe until a new roll was delivered. Also it was about 750m away from the beach which is 10-15 minutes of walking. I would return as it wasn't a horrible experience but there is definitely room for...
