Unfortunately, very bad experience. Very nice location, but terrible service. No heating at all in the 2-story villa that we rented, although it was 11C outside. Moreover, the owners refused to switch on the heat and advised us to "simply close the windows". When we asked for some wood for the fireplace, because it was quite cold, the owners asked for money. The reservation promised bar, restaurant, swimming pool. No restaurant, no bar. All closed. Very cold, dark swimming pool. The owners or staff (we couldn't tell who they were although they claimed to be the owners) followed us all the time, came in our rooms, followed my nephews to the pool and constantly asked to "be careful", and asked me to "watch the kids". We were there only about 3 hours, but when we finally asked for our money back, wanting to leave, the owners started literally yelling ... and called us "gypsies". Fortunately, they finally returned the money but retained a "deposit". Very unpleasant. I would not recommen to stay in...

We (group of 4 friends) stayed at Bansko Castle Lodge on Feb 2016. The reasons I suggest this as an ideal place to stay is the comfort, cleanliness and hospitality of the owners and staff. Our villa had 2 floors, with a comfortable living room and kitchen at the ground floor and 2 bedrooms with separate bathrooms at the 1st floor.||The villa was being cleaned daily and it was very warm (which is important after a full day at the slopes). Moreover there is parking outside each villa making very convenient to carry the equipment. Due to location, it is also very quiet while not being far from the action in the village. Notice though that if you don't want to walk for long (more than 15 minutes) you will need a car to reach the village and the gondola.||||Overall, this is a great place to stay and it is even better if you consider the...
