Club Hotel "Martin" — Hotel in Bansko

We (me, my wife and two children) visited Martin Club Hotel in Bansko in April 2011 for 2 nights. The Hotel is located in the center of the town of Bansko, 50 m away from the 'traditional' area. The location is very nice, quiet and easily accessible at the same time.||We stayed in a 4 persons room which was spacious and nicely decorated. It has 2 separated rooms, 2 TV sets, a small refrigerator and a safe. It was very clean, especially the bathroom. Some rooms (especially in the highest floors) have nice view to the mountain and the ski slopes. ||Free WiFi internet access everywhere.||The spa facilities (swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool and fitness center) are average. Although the hotel was almost empty in April (end of the ski season) everything was operating. The 'pool' is really small and the water was quite cold, the sauna not hot enough. The 8 persons whirlpool was very nice and pleasant.||The breakfast was just OK. ||There is a free underground parking, which doesn't have a direct access to the hotel and you have to ask the personnel to open the gate for you (which they do immediately).||The best way to the ski slopes is the free shuttle bus which transports you to the ski gondola base.||The personnel is the biggest asset of the hotel. Hotel is very clean, rooms likewise. Spa area downstairs clean and well looked after. Little pool is just big enough, Jacuzzi is great, sauna too. Our room (202) had good view from the balcony of mountains in the distance.||||Bathroom in the room was nice, as was our friends next room along. Usual toiletries supplied as well as robe and slippers for the spa. ||||Staff look after you well. Any little shortfalls (one chair on balcony) are quickly and charmingly rectified. It was fine. The hotel is small but clean and cozy. Although I visited it in December, the rooms were warm. The balconies are very small but the left side of the Hotel has a lovely view.
