We stayed 1 week in this lovely little hotel and had a very pleasant stay. Unfortunately, due to maintenance work we were unable to stay in the hotel on our first night. We had originally booked a deluxe double room but the hotel kindly upgraded us to their mountain view apartment as a thankyou gesture for our inconvenience which was very much appreciated. We'd had good communication with the hotel prior to our stay and during our stay we were always greeted with a friendly smile and politeness from the two members of staff that we saw repeatedly and were asked on several occasions if everything was to our liking. |The apartment was located in the attic space so that did mean climbing all the stairs to get to it as there is no lift. This wasn't a problem for us but could be for someone with mobility issues. The weather was hot during the week we stayed and we think this contributed to the attic space being warm and stuffy. Not a huge problem as we could open the door to the terrace and the window near the bed which generated an air flow. On a night, we would leave just the window open and didn't experience too much of a noise nuisance as the area the hotel is located appeared to be reasonably quiet. |The apartment was clean and tidy with the decor providing a modern feel to it. The bed was comfortable and there were several seating options and plenty of storage for clothes. We had a little roof top terrace with chairs and table so that gave us a little private outdoor space. The view from the terrace was beautiful. |The bathroom has been designed as a wet room which is advantageous when you want to make the most out of a small space. The only downside to this design is the bathroom floor is then wet for a period of time after using the shower which was a little annoying when you wanted to use the toilet or get at the wash basin. However, it didn't take that long for the floor to dry and we had our flip flops with us to put on when we needed to enter the bathroom space post shower, so not a huge problem. |There was a kettle in the room which pleased us greatly as we enjoy our cups of tea. However, there were no cups/mugs so had to ask for a couple. It wasn't a problem as the lady was more than happy to provide us with them. Perhaps leaving some in the apartment next to the glasses would be a good idea. We also had to borrow a corkscrew so maybe that's something else that could be left in the room. |Breakfast was a continental buffet style. There was a good selection to choose from with some hot egg and sausage provided on some of the days we were there. If we are to be honest, we've been to hotels with better breakfasts but we've also been to ones with worse. We found the breakfast to...
Read moreThe hotel is nice, modern furnishings and facilities. However the service was very poor. We had to ask for clean towels and toilet paper on several occasions and also for the rooms to be cleaned. One day when the cleaners had been in, one of them was complaining that there were clothes all over one of our parties bedrooms, she was moaning about it to all the other guests. This was unacceptable in my opinion. We were a large family group and on booking were assured of English speaking staff but communication was very difficult, thank heavens for google translator! We were also promised a free hourly shuttle to the gondola, and back in the evening however on 3 out of 5 occasions it didn't show up in the afternoon and we had to trudge back on foot with all our ski gear or get a cab. One more thing...the breakfast was nice but if you wanted proper breakfast tea, instead of Bulgarian herbal tea, there was a charge for tea bags and milk equivalent to 3 euro which I thought was very unfair. The machine dispensed coffee wasn't...

We where there primarily for skiing and we were more than satisfied. ||||Shuttle bus in the morning was always on time at 8:00am. Only a 2-4 min drive to the ski zone. Drivers didn't know too much English but always tried to set a time for return. ||||Rooms where not massive but just enough to rest in and re charge for the next day. Rooms always clean and also the dining room and reception where kept in a excellent order. ||||Staff where extremely helpful with anything we asked. To mention a few, "putting on sauna, Extra pillows, extra quilts (as not a fan of heating)." ||||Breakfast was also good. Could be sometimes slightly warmer, but that is a colloquial problem in Bansko due to the cold weather. ||||For the price you pay, this hotel is a great find and just what you need for a ski...
