Green Life Bansko — Hotel in Bansko

We have been visiting Green Life with our family for a short break.

Apartment: reality is different than what they presenting on the website. Walls are super dirty, looks like need renovation all apartment. Everything is pretty much broken, like towel hangers in the bathroom, water pipes from day one water start running on the floor from the pipe, has been fixed but still…such a bad smell in the bathroom…In one of the bathroom find big crawling bug on the wall…so many halls in the bathroom looks like cheap Renovation..on a windy day you can feel cold inside your apartment even curtains start moving on the window…but in general apartment is warm….kitchen area, no microwave or pant , not like you expecting to find when you renting self catering apartment…the fridge is super old and not presentable at all…overall really disappointed of all apartment….

Restaurant: breakfast is okey, dinner fine…food is not super delicious but can’t complain much…staff members trying to be helpful just missing some positive vibes around all hotel…some staff members for breakfast a the bar can’t make proper hot coffee…we been served cold americano…but overall can’t complain much regarding food and drinks service…

Spa. Gym area , doesn’t look like gym area with few equipments which is broken. We used one paid service which it was facial massage and mask, my family member was super upset regarding attitude of staff member and quality, doesn’t feel like she had any treatment for her face…

Swimming pool area. Water temperature , staff member said 30 degrees , but feels like 13 my husband couldn’t cope longer than 15 minutes, as water super cold, in front of you all the time windy and cold ventilation system blowing cold air, if you want go toilet floor super warm but air conditioner on 16 degrees temperature set up…so if you going with a small child for quick toilet on this kind of temperature that’s is really disappointing…

Kids room. It’s okey to stay for short time, toys doesn’t look like toys anymore, all parts are missing is not organised, even on a quiet day everything messed up….

Reception: Staff members friendly and helpful.

Cleaning service: We never used but ladies always asked if we need something…

Location: Is really quiet location but little bit far away from centre but you can get taxi any time you need…so location I would say was good to have a break from city life…

I general all my family disappointed of this apartment hotel but we hope in the future this resort will be improving things which needs to...

When you see the photos and most of the reviews, you think it’s a great hotel on an amazing deal. Well, it turns out we were really mistaken! We had booked a studio, because we wanted to have some space. When we arrived, we got the keys and we were surprised when we saw the “studio”. On the website they say it’s 35 sq.m and thats a lie. We got a little room-like “studio” with a tiny, old and dirty bathroom. Don’t trust the photos, there’s no new furnishing and two sinks in the bathrooms. Anyway, we decided to stay there, because it’s just the room, we were only going to sleep there. Next bad thing was the elevator. When you go in, it falls down a little (10-15 cm) and then comes back up suddenly. It also does not show on which floor you are. The next disappointment came on breakfast. There are people going out of the breakfast area with bags and hands full of bananas. The variety of food is really, really limited. The quality is even worse. The personnel on breakfast is far from polite and helpful. Another thing- for the course of less than two days, the electricity stopped 2-3 times! The spa and wellness area are ridiculous. The indoor pool is dirty, the water is cold and unclear. You can’t even see the bottom of the pool that’s deep just around 1.20m. In the description of the hotel it’s clearly said that there is an aroma sauna, finland sauna, steam bath and a tepilarium. The aroma sauna has nothing aroma in it, there no herbs or anything else at all. Ot top of that the chairs are broken and when my boyfriend got up, one of the boards stuck on his back. That itself isn’t a problem but there are nails on the board and thats dangerous. The tepilarium smelled so bad that we couldn’t even stay there for a couple of minutes. The steam bath had a lot of mold on the roof, so it’s rather dangerous for your health than anything else. There’s nobody on the spa reception. There is a “fitness” according to the hotel site. Well there are two cardio machines (we don’t even know if they work) and 2 dumbbells.

The only great thing were the ladies on reception. They were polite, but sadly, on top of everything else, that was not enough for us to stay there.

We had 5 nights booked, but we only stayed for two, before finding a different...

There are some aspects to improve at this property. The first contact was great, the receptionist was professional and nice at all the time. We booked two rooms, a studio and a king room. Our surprise came when we realize the studio is two times smaller than the other lower category and the toilet is the smallest i have never seen. Also the studio was located at the other building being the family separated. The king room was quite big and more modern as the studio really needs a refurbish. The only different is an old and useless kitchen area. Once we passed our feedback to the reception this time was another lady who was not very happy to help us and her attitude at some point was very rude. We just wanted to be moved if possible to another king ( lower category) as looks better but she confront us saying there is not availability for the day. I showed her the availability online and she told us to book then but we will be charge cancellation fee!! Finally all the sudden she found a room available near the other one we booked and much much better. She even told us this will have an extra cost!! how can this be possible when the studio is much expensive. Simply ridiculous. We booked direct from the hotel instead from an OTA but seeing the treatment received I will think twice next time. The spa is a bit old but for a swim and sauna is ok. The modern rooms are fine just they are so cold the heater did not look to work as the heater was just mild and the other room the same. If you plan to go to breakfast in the morning in winter bring with you a jacket as it is only a fireplace to heat a massive area. The food is very basic but I am not very picky about it. Overall the location, some rooms are great but the horrible experience with the second receptionist, made us waste a few hours and unnecessary stress. They guy at the ski rental was very helpful all the time however the first day he looks more interested in his video game on the phone. The night receptionist...
