Reception staff is cheerful and trying to help on different issues. Dinners are really good, not open buffet but like an a’la carte menu and service. We really liked the taste of all meals. Location is also good, not “ski in ski out” because you still need to walk around 30-40 meters from the ski room to start skiing but still acceptable if you compare with other hotels in the region.
I drove 8 hours from Istanbul and arrived at 12:00. They told us that the check in time is 14:00 and we started waiting. But they didn’t give us the room until 15:30! So we just lost a half day of our short ski holiday. Then they didn’t accept our request for a late check out but offered a “ free facility use after check out”. Then I asked them to compensate this with a discount for next holiday( of course in a different room!) and they offered me %10 discount! I couldn’t believe this, thanks God :)
I am adding a video from our 5 stars hotel bathroom. They forgot to put a hole in the shower area and made a “water way” just like in the olden days in villages. I noticed this disgusting thing at midnight and couldn’t change the room. Next day they offered us a room but it had noisy street view, then we decided to stay and take showers in spa everyday.
So in overall it is a good hotel but you should be lucky for your room and bathroom and you should pray for the one who used to stay in your room checks out earlier.
Response to the reply: yes they gave me %50 discount for parking and I didn’t write this because I was not informed about this when I wrote this comment.
I tried to make our next reservation and sent several e-mails to the hotel but noone responded. Then I contacted on website, someone responded at the first stage but they stopped replying when he/she understood who I am. This is really interesting, this is the first time ever a hotel is crossed with me :)
I just wanted to write a fair comment and wrote good sides of the hotel as well. Should a customer write only the good sides of a hotel? Would it be really fair to other customers?
Anyway, I made the reservation via booking as we were happy about our stay in overall, lets see what will happen and if they will...
Read moreI recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. While the location may be convenient, several aspects of the stay were disappointing.
First, the maintenance and overall upkeep of the hotel require significant improvement. In our room, multiple amenities were not functioning properly, including the hairdryer, some lights, and the cooling system, which could not be adjusted to a desired temperature. The bathroom setup was also inconvenient, with a very small bathtub (unsuitable even for someone 1.6m tall), a small shower, and a toilet that appeared poorly maintained despite being labeled as clean. Additionally, the bed linens were too short and narrow for standard comfort.
Storage space was also an issue. The minibar was fully stocked, leaving no room for personal items, and the closet had no lighting, making it difficult to use. The hallways were dimly lit due to motion-sensor lights, creating a dark and unwelcoming atmosphere, especially at night.
For those visiting for skiing, the ski room was disappointing. It was very small, lacked secure storage for equipment, and did not have boot warmers, which are standard in many ski hotels.
The spa facilities were also problematic. The jacuzzi was often out of order due to "cooling issues," and on one occasion, children played in it until the water level dropped too low, rendering it unusable for the entire day. Given the limited size of the jacuzzi (fitting only six people), better management of access would improve the experience for all guests.
Beyond these issues, we experienced additional inconveniences throughout our stay. However, the most disappointing part was that after discussing our concerns with one of the managers, who was very understanding and assured us we would receive a partial refund, we never received any reimbursement. This lack of follow-through added to our overall dissatisfaction.
Overall, this hotel has potential but falls short in key areas such as maintenance, amenities, and guest comfort. We would not recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and...
Read moreAn honest review as a non-guest client to their spa.
We went in the hotel and the reception told us that the spa visit costs 40BGN per person and that we couldnt book a massage or get availability at the reception but only when we have already entered the spa downstairs.
Going downstairs we found the spa receptionist with a “couldnt care less” attitude who told us there is no availability for a massage as well as that there were no swimsuits available.
Weirdly enough i wanted to see where this would take us so we went and bought swimsuits at a local shop.
Returning to the spa we asked for robes and the same “couldnt care less” receptionist pointed us upstairs where the main receptionist told us robes were only available to hotel guests - she also came with me downstairs to explain the spa receptionist the same rule.
Was then handed a towel and went to the locker room where i found a key-less locker. Asked the receptionist whether there is a locker i can use and she handed me a random key. I asked her whether this key is for the open locker and she responded with “i hope so”.
Obviously the key wasnt working so i just left my stuff unlocked and used the facilities. The spa receptionist said she was sorry for the experience which is a positive, however her attitude and overall unhelpful approach was one of the reasons forming this low quality experience.
On we go to the facilities which were overall clean and somewhat what you d expect in a low end spa. no water bucket in the sauna or temperature switch in the steam bath. Turkish baths were unusable.
Certainly not what you would expect from a supposedly five star hotel neither in terms of service or facilities.
It is noteworthy that while i was there, at least another 2 guests/clients were facing issues with the spa, either in terms of what they were charged or having their...
