I stayed here as part of a larger travelling group but we were dispersed across numerous hotels in Pamporovo. Our group were there with Balkan Holidays. I arrived here just after midnight and the night porter greeted us getting off the bus and the bottom of the short hill to transport our bags from there to our rooms which was nice touch. Check-in was a seamless and quick process. Due to the late arrival in the room there was a platter of cold meats, cheese, bread and fruit which was also most welcome. The room itself was spacious and clean and the bathroom excellent. Previous reviewers had referenced the fact that the water was not always hot – this was not my experience and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. While the décor in the room, and the hotel in general, was a little dated it was still quite pleasant. I had a room with a balcony which is recommended as it offers great views of the area. ||In the morning I made my way down to the restaurant for the buffet style breakfast. There was a small selection of cereals and but loads of fruit. There were also some cooked meats (bacon ‘squares’, small pieces of sausage etc) and scrambled, boiled or poached eggs. There is also a toaster for your bread if you so wished. Coffee and juices were also available.||I then made my way up to reception to establish how to get to the ski centre – there are two pick up points depending on which ski centre you are based for the week. These are either outside the front door or at the bottom of the hill but there is a sign in reception to guide you. The week I was there the hotel was very quiet, so it was usually a car that picked us up but occasionally a bus.||After skiing there are pick up times from 3.00 to 5.00 pm from the same drop off points – I had couple of issues with the driver not appearing for the later pick up slots, but these were resolved. There are also plenty of taxis on hand to take you back and they charge 20 Lev.||As above there was not much life around the hotel during my stay so the lobby bar etc was not very busy in the evening but it was still a nice space and had a great fire at the opposite end. The buffet dinner was available after 6.30 and again there was a wide selection to choose from. There was soup on hand for a starter, 3 or 4 meats for mains and lots of vegetables and salads. Most of it was very good but some things were quite cold but all in all it was very good. The dessert selection was also very good.||The staff in the hotel were courteous and helpful throughout. There are more expensive hotels in Pamporovo but the Prespa is more than adequate and I was surprised by the standard given the overall cost of package for the week. I would definitely consider...
Read morewe had so great time in this hotel! Prespa is big and well maintained - clean, well organized and you can find there whatever you may need during your stay in Pamporovo. the staff is nice, professional and always ready to help with everything (and nobody's importuning). ||breakfast in a cozy restaurant is included in the stay - there was a lot of tasty options: everyday changing ones and a constant breakfast menu (big choice of vegetarian food). we tried also local bbq tavern and it was nice BUT the live music was definitely too loud! ||location is fine, there is 24/7 shop if you need anything just by the hotel, the bus stop is close and a mountain view is everywhere around Prespa; BUT check before where are the slopes and lifts you'd like to use - we were using the Malina one and it was uncomfortable to walk there (there is a road only and no pedestrian way); of course there are shuttle buses, but it would be nice not to have to use them...||we loved hotel's sauna - private, on appointment only and a lobby that looks like straight from old crime movies
Read moreWe stayed at the hotel Prespa and enjoyed our stay. |The room was very basic but clean. |Towels changed every day and room tidied. We had a nice view from the balcony. ||The food was very basic and not kept hot but we survived and ate out a couple of times. The restaurant manager was very friendly. ||We loved the lobby bar and fire I there but one of the barmen was miserable. ||The old man that gave us a lift to the slopes every day was lovely and always there and we didn’t wait long. They said there was a problem with the bus but I don’t think there was ( cheaper to run car ) ||Our trip was spoilt a bit after a bracelet I had that my son bought me went missing. I am almost certain that I left it in a drawer after locking all my other valuables away. The bracelet wasn’t valuable but has sentimental value to me. |I reported it to the hotel and the maids looked in the room as we left but it wasn’t found. |The hotel managers were helpful asking the maids if they have seen it but I never got it back. |If I went back we wouldn’t eat at the hotel and i would make sure everything was...
