HOLIDAY VILLAGE BARCO DEL SOL — Hotel in Nesebar

Hi||when we booked these apartments there were no reviews (wish there was) so thought we would start the ball rolling.||Firstly, we organised transfers directly with the apartment rep (Anastasia Sivkova). When we arrived at Bourgas airport no one turned up to collect us. Luckily there was space on a minibus talking guests to sunny beach.||When we found the apartments there was a small window (reception??) where there sat a security guard who couldn't speak english! We had to sit on the bench outside for over an hour waiting on the rep and manager to appear. When we eventually got the key we found mouldy bread in the kitchen drawers, the bin hadn't been emptied (mcds food etc), cigarette ends in the bedside drawer, the cutlery had grease all over it, the phone was hanging off the wall as well as the sockets behind the microwave, there were 3 wires sticking out underneath the boiler in the bathroom (they had tape over the end but still doesn't look very professional), a hairdryer was supposed to be provided but no just a broken iron!||When Anastasia came to see if we were ok she didn't seem very apologetic about not organising transfers. She didn't even offer to take the ttransfer amount off the bill - I had to ask! ||The apartment wasn't cleaned after the 2nd day and no clean towels were provided.||The only positive thing I have to say is that when we informed the rep that we had no hot water it was fixed immediately. ||On departure day we were running a little late and I stupidly failed to remember to lift my mobile phone from the bedside table. It's not like it was lost in the room somewhere it was on a visible surface so anyone entering would see it immediately. You guessed it though someone pocketed it! When I phoned to see if they had it - nothing! I might have left it in the taxi you know, ok thieves!||I would recommend sunny beach resort but def not these apartments. The pool on the roof is quite small and the sunbeds are close to the pool so if anyone is playing with a ball in the pool ur gonna get soaked whether u like it or not. ||This might be a one off experience but it's def enuf 2 put me off going...

We flew into Bulgaria at Varna airport and then drove to Burgas in the rented car that was included in our flight deal. It took about 1hour 15mins on the winding road, which was a bit crazy but also fun. Anyway we reached the Sunny Beach strip and thought where shall we stay. We didnt book anything in advance as we knew we would find something as soon as we got there, as it was out of season. We encountered Barco Del Sol, these were apartments with a little Kitchenette in each and ours was a one bed. There were not many people there as it was out of season and this is true for the whole of Sunny Beach. Barco Del Sol for location is great as it is just behind the centre strip where all the bars, clubs and retaurants are. Right smack bang in the middle. The walk to the beach is about 5mins, so perfect for location. There is also a shop in the complex and the restaurant Djanny's is just opposite, our local because of the food being delightful. Overall a nice block of apartments, must be seen when there are more there I feel. The roof top pool is cool, other than that I recommend it to people who want a roomy apartment in a great location with all the amenities at their doorstep at a reasonable price. Very clean and very spacious apartments in a very good locations. It had cooker, fridge, kettle, plates cuttlery, everything you needed! The only downsize on this was we had to pay for electric and water but it was only a few leva each as we were constantly out exploring! The beach was about 10mins walk, bars, clubs, restaurants within seconds! Very close to the bus stop to go to Nesebur and it cost 1 lev for the bus journey! ||Sunny beach is quite expensive resort compared to the other Black sea places but it is a lot livelier too!
