The hotel is just a few minutes away from from the beach. The area is rather quiet and I felt safe there, even in the evenings. There are a couple of supermarkets and restaurants in the close proximity. The hotel itself is on a larger side, with 5 floors. There is one pool (wished it was larger) with a separate section just for kids, sunbeds for guests (too little) and a bar (good music). Inside the hotel there is another bar, shop, restaurant, gym and spa. Never got around to trying out the gym, cos it was too hot, and the hotel AC wasn't up to task. I only went to the restaurant for breakfast and I'm not gonna lie, I regretted choosing the option to buy breakfast at the hotel, since the food was meh at best. The only exception were waffles, which were excellent (people were literally waiting in queue for them), especially when eaten with a nice jam. My room was comfortable and clean, so was the bathroom, however one mini sachet of shampoo aside, there were no other toiletries provided by the hotel, so I had to buy them all. There was at least a drier and mini fridge. AC in the room could be a bit stronger, but overall it was enough for me. It was pretty old though, so I don't recommend even touching it or trying to change settings, cos when I did once, it stopped working immediately. I touched it again, prayed it would start working, and it thankfully did (phew). There was also not enough sockets in the room and not even one in the bathroom. I liked having a large balcony though, cos I could sit there in comfort and let towels and clothes dry faster. Side note, cleaning ladies were super nice and thorough. They didn't speak much English, but always gave me additional toilet paper without having to ask.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ivana Palace and will be back again! Rooms are great, bar the noise of other people, but that's by the by. Bar staff, reception staff, shop staff, just all the staff were amazing, particularly our pool bar staff Naz, Bobbie, and Neya (I've likely butchered the spelling of the above names), these were all amazing, provided such a good laugh, great service, and good conversation, came out of their way to say goodbye to us, and I wish them all luck in the future (hopefully see you all again!). Our Jet2 rep Nikolas was very friendly and helpful, booked us for the water park and was normally floating around the hotel if you needed assistance, always said hello, was up for a chat and waved to us too! The reception staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a wide variety, was the same most days, but enough so you could change up what you were having. Cleaning staff were very friendly! Fresh towels every day, and always supplied toilet roll and cleaned the floors. Exactly what was needed. A few minutes walk to the beach front, and about half an hour to flower street. Thank you so much to the staff and the friends we made there.

Recently returned from nulgeria and will not be returning to this hotel, I found the maids do minimal work in bedrooms it was very hit and miss if you got clean towels. Shop staff/reception staff are rude. Wouldn't both with ordering food at this hotel we tried to order twice and the staff were that rude they didn't speak but put their hand up in front of my face 🤚.It's not family-friendly. My daughter had an allergic reaction, which we had to call a for, and the medication the doctor gave her made her sick. So, onto 75lev doctors charge 290lv treatment bill and another 90lv prescription, they also charged 110lv for sheets, which I thought was uncalled for as they were more than aware of the situation. This hotel was full of OPA'S blocking sunbed with the same towel for the whole 10 days. Sunbeds were very dirty, and i used wetwipes and ziflora spray to clean before we used. The area of sunbeds and swimming pool was dirty, never cleaned days old cup and rubbish not been moved. Bar staff were friendly and helpful. This is the only good thing I can say about the hotel.

This was mine and my fiancé's first time at this hotel, it was my first time in Sunny Beach, but my fiancé was there once before a couple of years ago. He greatly enjoyed this hotel a lot more than the other one he was at before, which was a 5 star one. I was also very impressed. To begin with, a huge advantage is that the parking is free, normally, from what we noticed, most hotels have a parking fee of 15-20 LV a day, which is a lot in our opinion. There were spots marked on the ground, but there was also a lot of space on the grass area at the back of the hotel as well, where a lot of cars could fit. We stayed 7-nights at a great price, just a bit over 1000 Leva. In this price it was included breakfast and dinner, breakfast from 7:30-10AM and dinner from 6:30-9PM. Both of us really enjoyed the food both for breakfast and dinner, we considered the food to be to everyone's taste, a lot of options, some the same which were more popular of course, like the fried eggs and omlet, but there some different dishes every day for people who want to eat different food, I tried to taste as many as I could since it was an all you can eat buffet, each one was delicious, I don't really eat meat, so I don't know how those were, but the things I liked the most are the creme soups, once there was chicken soup as well, I especially enjoyed pasta with meat, there were baked vegetables, pizza, there were always fried potatoes which were always warm and delicious, the salads were all amazing, I mostly enjoyed the couscous one, I also loved the waffles every morning, sometimes instead of waffles there was fried bread with egg which was really good. All the food was cooked on the spot, refilled very often, warm and delicious. The bread was always so soft and fresh, especially the sesame buns, I was in love with them, so so good. In the morning there were a few coffee machines, I don't drink coffee so I don't know if the coffee was good, but my fiancé enjoyed it. I liked on the other hand the juice, they had pineapple and apple juice machine, which also gave cold water as well. For dinner, of course these machines were not used, but there was a water dispenser, you could drink as much as you liked, it was fitrated and good. The staff was quiet, but very kind and professional, always keeping the tables clean and making sure constantly that nothing was missing, I really appreciated them. We were super impressed with the maids, they were coming daily to clean the rooms and provide us with new, clean towels and toilet paper. The lobby staff was kind with us as well. The room was small, but very comfortable, we had a bathtub, which again, was cleaned daily by the maids, we really loved that. The balcony was nice as well, I don't think we were missing anything. There was also a gym which was free to use for everyone, which was great. We liked the pool too, very clean and there were lots of sun beds, it was not very deep either, I think it was 1.40m at the deepest, there was also a side of the pool for the small children as well. The bar had good drinks and beer, I drank a lot of cocktails, there was a discount as well for cocktails, 2 for 1, but that was for most of the bars and restaurants at the beach too, it was still nice. The elevator was good too. The distance from the beach was so short, 5 minutes, same for the bus stop, it was like 1-2 min away. The hotel is also away from the noisy side of the beach, which at night can get very loud. The only downside was super bad internet, we were prepared though, since we read lots of other reviews regarding this issue, we bought a pre-paid SIM with internet which was really cheap. I think I covered everything, it's a super long review 😅 All in all, great hotel, great prices, great service,...

Went in 2019 thought it was fab.

Went in 2022 . Booked family room and on arrival they told me my kids are not booked. Clearly I booked them. Said they are over 12 they are not kids forced to pay extra 500 LV or the kids had to leave. The breakfast was awful my daughter got a finger nail in her egg, there was constantly a shortage of cutlery and glasses. I asked staff at the breakfast for a spoon to be responded with none left and shrugging his shoulders.

My husband went to the restaurant to request a fork and was refused.

Our bedroom door was left open whilst we were out by staff, God knows how long it was open.

The pool bar was not open for 12 days of our stay. Large groups of hen and stag parties all bringing their drinks glasses into the pool and were so loud. On checkout the man in front of other people told me a glass was missing from our room, as if we would steal a glass. Turns out he was wrong as confirmed by the maid he rang.

Decided to try again this year as thought last year was a blip. BIG MISTAKE.

Booked a double room (2adults) and triple room (2 adults one teen girl). On arrival double room was fine. Triple room was double room with an extra bed shoved in which basically made it one giant bed expected teen and parents to sleep side by side (triple room is meant to be double bed in room and sofa bed in other room as had been in one previous year with friends) went to reception and told them we were not happy that is not what we booked and couldn't have our teen daughter share a bed. Made pay an extra 400lv again.

Again pool bar not open and no music.

Parasols were reduced this year to 6 or 7 which meant you had to be up before 6:30am to get one (no choice but to have parasol due to very fair skinned members in family) as towels placed on them sometimes during the night. I always got one but meant me sitting by pool from 6:30am. Many put towels down but didn't use until well into afternoon.

We had a German football team using 2 rooms on same corridor as us and they were running up and down the corridor shouting until well after 4am. Went to reception next morning and requested they have word with them only for reception to shrug and say ring police if you not happy.

The day before we left a stag group arrived and were very loud all night, one woman opened her door (3am) to ask them to keep it down and they shouted and screamed at her. They ran up to her door threatening her and kept banging on her door.

Our maid this year was really lovely, so nice and helpful and even brought roses to us. She was the only thing that saved our stay there. Will never ever book this...

Breakfast was the highlight and rooms were spacious. Check in and out was quick and you could say, value for money considering the location.

FYI-1)Video/control your room when you arrive and depart to make sure that the towels, cups etc are up to the quantity that they mentioned. Since we read the reviews before booking,we arrived and saw all this warnings written about missed towels and fee,we made sure to video and count . We noticed that as per quantity of what they mentioned,it was wrong. We had only 2 towels per person(which was more than enough for us) and not 3 and 1 ash tray(which we don’t need because we don’t smoke),not 2. We went down to the reception and told them ,of which they explained why the differences. My thought: if you know that the quantity you mentioned in what you wrote isn’t what’s there in the room, why not update it?

2)Staff and service : Check-in and out was quick and staff were friendly but not helpful! When we checked in and entered our room,we noticed that the mat in the bathroom was super wet, which we ask the receptionist if they could remove it or change since we are on our way to eat dinner. He acknowledged but did nothing because we came back and the mat was still there and wet.

3)Missed dinner? They will pack something for you and give it to you when you arrive. For us,dinner was included in our booking but we arrived late and kitchen was already close but they packed dinner for us which included per person :1bottle water,1 apple,2 bread sand-which. Anyway, that’s not what we wanted to eat at night so we went right across the hotel to the hotel there with restaurant open and ate dinner there

4)Rooms : Spacious! We came when it wasn’t the season so it was quiet and building seem clean but our room wasn’t that clean because apart from the super wet mat,we moved the small table chair close to the bed to hold the door open for air and we found a pack of blonde hairs which doesn’t belong to any of us and at the Terrance there was a forgotten cleaning sponge

5)Hotel bracelets:When we checked-in,we were given 1 bracelet each for breakfast. Actually the receptionist put it on our wrists. So you enter the breakfast hall and everyone were wearing it .

My thought:The bracelets made breakfast time look like we were in a hospital. I understand the logic but….

Above all,our stay wasn’t bad considering the price. The hotel served its purpose and off we go! Might return for a...
