Basic hotel with a fantastic restaurant attached. Let’s get this out of the way with. The rooms are basic, they’re cleaned daily, the hot water is hot and the cold water is cold. Surprise, surprise the Bulgarian TVs have Bulgarian channels on them. If you’re like me and my family and consider the room as somewhere to sleep and store your belongings then there should be no issues with the room. If found the hotel and restaurant staff to be courteous so long as you are courteous and polite to them. This is Bulgaria not the U.K. they’re not going to be polite any take abuse, the staff we act toward you as you act toward them. We went Bed and Breakfast so can’t comment on evening meal. The Breakfast was varied although basic; with plenty of hot and cold options, I’d advise going as breakfast opens as it does get busy toward mid/end of service. The attached restaurant; who ask cook the breakfast; has a very good menu at very reasonable prices. Be prepared though, it’s seems to be a constant across Sunny beach restaurants that the bring the dishes as they are ready rather than when the whole order is ready. So if you’ve ordered a well done steak and others have order a pizza, you’re going to be waiting a bit longer. I really can’t understand those people who come to a three star hotel and expect a five star experience or those who have reviews this hotel and have been critical of the included food but have left glowing reviews of the restaurant; it’s comes from the same kitchen! And how much time are you spending in the room for the TV not being in English to be a problem. For the price we paid this hotel was good, staff friendly because we were friendly to them and food and drink were very good quality at a very reasonable price. Also a short distance to the beach and...
Read moreGentlemen in reception in the evening was very informative and polite. The ted haired lady on reception sometimes is polite helpful and smiles The one with the blond perm not so much. Room was clean on arrival. Sheets and towels changed on 3rd day but that was it. Stayed for 10 nights so all a bit icky on day 7. On arrival noticed no handle on the sliding door so was unable to close completely so had to leave slightly open (no privacy). Reported it the next morning and although the “maintenance “ man came out with a screwdriver and a tape measure l😀it was still like it when we left. The shower was broken but didn’t bother reporting it as there seemed no chance it would be repaired. Pool is far to small for amount of guests. H&S is non existent your not just talking inflatable’s on slides but solid body boards crashing in to you. Signs everywhere saying towels will be removed from sunbeds if still vacant at 9am but this rule was never implemented. Saw towels on 10 or more sunbeds at 2pm and other guests sitting on chairs as no beds available although the beds were still not in use. Bar staff ate in general extremely rude and none seem to charge the same price. Bought 3 bottles of water for 6lev less than 5minutes later another staff member wanted 2.20lev for one??? Didn’t try the food so cannot comment on this but the surliness of staff made me reluctant to spend my money in their. The Ivana Palace across the road lets you use their pool for 5lev a day which is excellent with a great pool and friendly staff at...
