Smolian — Hotel in Nesebar

Simple review on the Smolian hotel sunny beach .. |very basic hotel nothing fancy whatsoever. ||Room - very old fashioned and outdated decor . Carpets in the rooms look from 1950. Wallpaper is crazy squiggles all over room. |Very clean no issues there beds comfy enough also, you get air con and a fridge in your room and a tv . That’s it. But that was all we needed. ||Pool - never used the pool or the sunbeds - folk will leave their towels on them all day without using them (hotel staff should monitor this better) ||Staff - not very helpful IMO - very little English spoken from most which is difficult at times if you’re British. Young girl was probably the better one. | |Breakfast - decent enough but the same thing day in day out and they do not replenish anywhere near enough. Open between 8-10am and if they run out at 9:10am they don’t want to replenish either. ||Other guests - a mainly older generation crowd (we are two 40 YO’s lads) but mostly all a friendly bunch.||Surroundings - a lot of construction going on the main road in front of the hotel , supermarket and restaurant's/bars all close by . About a 15 minute walk to the main strip (flower street) 10minute walk to the beach ||All in all it done for what we needed it to do . Would we go back ? Probably if it was as cheap as we got the holiday for (£249...

Me and my daughter just spent a week here, we loved every minute, unfortunately my daughter lost her Fendi ring and was crying all night,we where due to fly home so couldn’t go back to the pub, we spoke to the staff,(owners) mum n daughter run hotel along with other staff, they told me they’d call the pub today and if no answer they would go to the pub, 🤞the security at bourgas airport told us that the ring would be sold,😔this evening I had a phonecall off the daughter who owns hotel to say they have the ring,😊🙌❤️and there posting it out to us,,. Now that doesn’t happen ,but it has,my daughter is so happy,I am too,we are so grateful and so thankful,. These owners go above and beyond to look after there visitors,we had a lovely stay,.first time taking my daughter abroad alone so was very nervous n anxious,this hotel was great,I’m not just saying this because we have the ring back, we are already planning going back but taking the rest of the family,. If you want a hotel close to beach,nightlife,shopping,we did water park, cosy,comfy, trustworthy,helpful,then this is for you ,,...

Brilliant hotel, yes it's a little bit dated, I've been to sunny beach 3 times now, 2018 when the world cup was on, came with a couple of mates, 2019 with my parents and my son, this time on ma own, always plenty of sunbeds, ya don't have to get up at daft o'clock to secure a sunbed by the pool, go back to sunny North Yorkshire in the morning, the only tiny little thing is,1 of the staff has just told us that ya can only drink, drinks bought elsewhere in your room, or outside the gates, there's no signs round the pool area/out side the restaurant saying about not drinking drinks what aren't bought from the hotel bar, I've bought loads of beers from the hotel bar, as well as buying the local cider from the local shop, when ever I've asked for some ice for my cider, I've always put a lev or 2 in the tips jar on the bar, because I thought it was abit cheeky asking for ice, but like I said, there's no signs, if they put signs up, I'd honer it, would I stay here again, ABSOLUTELY !!, gonna book 2weeks...
