Hotel Bulgari Melnik — Hotel in Sandanski

Before I came to Melnik I tried to book a hotel online, but I found it very hard to find any information on the web so finally went over without any arrangements. As I was there out of season (in October) this turned out to be no problem at all. There are about ten hotels in Melnik's picturesque main street, and judging from the outside the Spa Hotel Bulgari was the best one so we selected it for our one night stay on a detour from Greece. The hotel was marvellous: very new (building was completed in 2007), tastefully decorated, and immaculately clean. There is a choice of regular double/twin rooms or "apartments" which are almost double the size and have a nice balcony facing the upper end if the (very quiet) main street. All rooms have wooden floors, good beds (although the pillows were a bit too high for my taste) and the apartment also have a comfy couch. It was really pleasant to sit on the couch in the evening, and on the balcony in the morning. The bathroom again is modern, stylish, and clean, with an excellent shower (no bath tub). The only thing that was not do great about the hotel was the breakfast, which was included in the rate but very basic (some bread, cheese, ham, and an egg). As this was my first and do far only stay in Bulgaria I'm not quite sure what the standards in that country are, but it may well be that it was also due to the circumstance that there were so few guests in the Autumn. In any case, I will definately stay in this hotel again if I ever visit...

My wife and I stayed here in July which you would imagine would be one of the busiest times of year-however the hotel was completely empty and we were the only guests.||The staff were quite keen and eager for us to stay and were very attentive, however the overall quality was sadly lacking.||Although the room we had was quite large and had a nice balcony||The bathroom had a broken door on the showers - no plug in the sink- yet they charged what I felt was an over the top price.||The Wi-Fi was not working.||And at breakfast when we ask for some more tea and coffee. They made us pay extra !! Even though it was supposed to be included...

Για να αρχίσουμε το Melnik (Μελένικο) είναι υπέροχο πρέπει κανείς να πάει να δει πως ήταν τα αρχοντικά που είναι απίστευτα. Το ξενοδοχείο Bulgari Melnik αξίζει τα χρήματα του και με το παραπάνω ! Ο ξενοδόχος και ο μπάρμαν είναι πολύ φιλικοί, η τοποθεσία είναι υπέροχη, η θέρμανση απολύτως ικανοποιητική. Το πρωϊνό πολύ καλύτερο απο την τυπική περιγραφή (είναι σε στυλ μπουφέ με ελεύθερη επιλογή και ο καφές /τσάϊ δωρεάν). Δε δοκίμασα το εστιατόριο και δεν είδα το Μουσείο κρασιού - ελπίζω την επόμενη φορά. |Θα κάνω μερικές φιλικές παρατηρήσεις που θα βελιτώσουν, ελπίζω, τις παρεχόμενες υπηρεσίες.|(1) το πρωϊνό είναι καλό, αλλά μπορεί να βελτιωθεί. π.χ. μια καφετιέρα με έτοιμο καφέ και να βάζει ο καθένας μόνος του - να μη χρειάζεται να πηγαίνει κανείς κάθε φορά στο μπάρ -είναι και λίγο άβολο. Επίσης ζεστό νερό και φακελάκια με τσάϊ και λίγο γάλα ή έτοιμα γαλατάκια. Ίσως λίγες φέτες λεμόνι. Καλή ιδέα θα ήταν και μερικά τοπικά προϊόντα (π.χ. μέλι ή μαρμελάδα της περιοχής) και να το γράφει με καρτελάκια, και με λεπτομέρειες του στυλ: "πευκόμελο από τα πεύκα της περιοχής με πολύ ιδιαίτερο άρωμα λόγω της ιδιαίτερης σύστασης το εδάφους", ώστε οι πελάτες να ευχαριστιούνται που δοκιμάζουν προϊόντα της περιοχής - πάντα το ευχαριστιούνται όταν μαθαίνουν την προέλευση αυτών που τρώνε.|(2) οπωσδήποτε το Inernet να μπει και στα δωμάτια.|(3) οι κατάλογοι και οι πληροφορίες να είναι και στα αγγλικά και, εκτιμώ, και στα ελληνικά γιατί νομίζω πως πολλοί πελάτες είναι έλληνες.|(4) Χρειάζονται σε μερικά σημεία μικρο-μερεμέτια ασήμαντα, αλλά που είναι καλό να διορθωθούν.|Πάντως εγώ θα ξαναπάω και θα στείλω φίλους...
