There are two Mario hotels own by the same person. My review will be for the hotel on the road to Rojen (the main hotel is in the centre). ||First of all, if you are looking for a cheep trip and you don't have enough time for vacation, I certainly recommend that you visit this hotel. It is a small two stars and the price for a two bed room is 35 lv. per night. I can assure you that in Bulgaria there are three star hotels with lower quality from this one and much expensive. Hotels that won't meet your needs. ||As I mentioned, this hotel is on the road, which has it's advantages like a view towards the park and the river. Although the hotel is close to some kind of a parking, the place is very peaceful. The restaurant is in the centre hotel which is around 50 miters away. There aren't any long distances to be passed, because the only street in the village is 1 km or less longer. The rooms are very clean. The TV has only six programs, but who needs them, when you got such beautiful nature, wine and cuisine. Please bear in mind that the price per night doesn't include breakfast. ||Secondly, there are several sights that you must visit while being in Melnik. The wine museum and the Courdopoul's house are located in the village itself, but the Rojen's monastery is the thing worth exiting it.||Lastly, do not hesitate to try dishes in every restaurant in Melnik. I truly understand the suspension when it comes to tasting food in unknown places, but trust me, you won't regret, if you eat in a randomly...

The quality you'll get for this price is a dream.||There is a pleasant outdoor terrace next to the street and the river to enjoy an authentic Bulgarian meal, be it breakfast, lunch or diner. ||A little supermarket is attached to buy your goodies for your exiting hike to monastry Rozhen. The natural surroundings are astounishing and never cease to surprise you.||All in all, what a lovely...
Read moreMelnik is worth coming! It's the smallest town in Bulgaria but has special atmoshere. And it's beautiful! ||Hotel is nice and placed at the main street. Rooms are small but clean. It's a really calm place. ||We had breakfasts included. Nothing special (e.g. eggs with Bulgarian cheese) but we didn't expect more because of the price. ||You can eat diners in the restaurant. We had very good shopsky salads and we tasted melnik wines. You can buy a lot of local wine, honey, juices and some other staff in the shop in Mario Hotel. ||Parking is only on the street in front of hotel and it may be problem during holidays. We were the in June. ||It's really good...
