Хижа "Ловна резиденция" — Hotel in Sapareva Bania

The theme of the guesthouse is hunting so expect lots of stuffed animals (was surprised to see a lion tho). Rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean. Staff is extra nice and understands English so communication was effortless. Also communicating online prior to check in was easy and rapid. Location is remote and quiet, away from civilization, but in one of the closest areas to the chair lift possible (20 min by car). We chose to stay here to go early morning hiking in Rila Mountains. Breakfast is super (guesthouse type, with local products). Restaurant serves the tastiest food one can imagine (5 stars for the restaurant). I recommend the lamb, it was to die for. The English menu is not very clear on what's included, the dishes all have sides. The description did not imply this so we ordered extra sides that we then could not eat (would have liked the waiter to tell us what's included). Paying is possible by card. They even have a sauna (free) and provide bathrobes.||There was no hair dryer, mini fridge or trash bin in our room. Also, shower is basically in the middle of the bathroom and all floor gets wet, but it dries fairly quickly. There's no AC, but we had cool days with 18 C in August..don't know how hot it gets here and if you would ever need one. WIFI was a bit unreliable. I was not bothered by the stuffed animals, but by the lovely dog held in chain...

We got a friendly welcome from the staff upon arrival. They were all kind enough to speak English which we were grateful for. Only 15-20mins from the 7 lakes parking (for the chairlift), this is a great find nestled amongst some beautiful pine trees. Be prepared for a lot of taxidermy which adds to the hunting ambiance. The lodge offered a relaxing sauna, steam room and hammam with comfortable terry cloth robe. Perfect after a day of hiking. The accommodation itself is basic but clean and comfortable. We had a delicious dinner at the lodge - lots of vegetarian options, including a delicious platter of marinated grilled vegetables. The homemade chicken soup was perfect as well. The breakfast (included in our room price) was better than expected - fried eggs, bacon, French toast / eggy bread, cheese, fruit, veggies, assortment of fresh breads and pastries, and homemade jams and tea from the forest. Panichishte è tipicamente usato come base per le escursioni in zona (prima su tutte quella ai sette laghi di Rila). Questo hotel è ubicato in fondo ad una strada quindi non c'è passaggio auto rendendo la zona più tranquilla di altri. L'esposizione non è delle migliori perché il sole va via presto, ma se come detto sopra, lo si usa solo post-trekking, questo aspetto è irrilevante.||La dimensione delle camere è adeguata, gli interni sono buoni ma non perfetti (migliorabili con piccole manutenzioni).||Il ristorante ha un'ampia scelta e si può mangiare sia dentro che all'aperto. Senza dubbio le migliori scelte sono il cervo e il cinghiale. Gli altri piatti possono piacere più o meno a seconda delle proprie abitudini alimentari. La colazione è davvero abbondante e molto buona (sia dolce che salata per incontrare i gusti di tutti).||A disposizione dei clienti c'è una SPA gratuita composta da: bagno turco, sauna, sala relax e doccia (per passare da una stanza all'altra). Unico aspetto negativo (se così lo vogliamo definire) è il poco spazio per appoggiare le proprie cose (e.g. accappatoio, chiavi, ecc.), quindi quando c'è molta gente c'è il rischio di confonderli.||Comunque la cosa che più mi ha colpito e che mi ha spinto a recensire la struttura (cosa che faccio sempre con meno frequenza) è il direttore Kiril. Una persona molto in gamba tanto professionale quanto simpatica. Un lavoratore instancabile che è presente dalle 7:30 per la colazione fino alle 23:00 dopo cena, tutti i giorni tranne una sera che ha libera. Parla un'ottimo italiano (ha lavorato per italiani in Bulgaria e anche in Italia). Non solo ci ha saputo consigliare per le escursioni in zona ma mi ha dato mano anche con problemi che non c'entravano niente col viaggio, come quelli con una chiavetta USB, con l'automobile (e altro): sempre disponibile a qualunque ora del giorno e della notte e sempre con gentilezza e col sorriso. Questa estate ho soggiornato in poco meno di 30 strutture, senza dubbio Kiril è stato il migliore.||L'unico aspetto che a me, appassionato di safari fotografici in Africa non è piaciuto, ma indubbiamente pittoresco, sono tutti gli animali impagliati (o sotto forma di tappeti) presenti nella struttura.
