All-in-all, the experience was reasonable. But for several reasons I won't come back, and I won't recommend the place to others. From an emotional point of view, this hotel is forgettable, lacking any charisma, and loosing points for cheapening out at certain building/decorative features (things that shouldn't happen in place with 4 stars). The receptionist was a bit rude, got annoyed that we bothered her, and made us wait for almost half an hour, but good customer service was not something I was expecting specifically, so it won't affect the final rating so much. The room I stayed in was one of the renovated ones, so the furniture was pretty nice (and I really liked the walk-in shower!). The mattress was comfy, and I hope the white sheets were clean for real. The aircon worked fine. The room only had four lamps as light sources, on the walls, so everything was dim lit and not suitable for anything more than sleeping. The space was quite uncomfortable for doing work on a laptop, only a small improvised space under the TV as an option. From the three rooms I've entered, all of them shared the humid/mold smell (let's assume that it's a feature). The hotel losses points in terms of Wi-Fi. Most hotels don't invest in a proper network, but while I don't expect to find the ideal solution of an access point in every room, Vitosha Park really needs more access points in their cheap hallway setup. The connections don't really pass 4 mbps, have high latency, and are very sensible to traffic. Also, the network has no password, so its virtually unusuable by anyone that has sensible data (so you truly need to bring your own 4G/5G router and SIM card when staying at Vitosha Park). The breakfast was appreciated for providing a large meal for our long days at work. But the items were quite limiting and on the affordable side if things. Most 3-star hotels (in Romania, for instance) have similar or way better breakfast options.

Beautiful location, beautiful views from room, next to Technical University of Sofia, in front of beautiful Vitosha Park and mountain. The view from window is stunning if you choose front rooms. The lift is also fitted with glass for panoramic view during your ride. Nearby restaurants in student city. Swimming pool and fitness center is there. The buffet breakfast is there, it is good but the same menu for all the days. No option for lunch or dinner, it is only for group booking There is one bar option also in front of reception. The reception boy and girls are very helpful. TV is available in room, but one thing which I missed was there is no intercom or telephone facility in rooms. You have to help yourself or go to reception at ground floor for your help. Fitness centre is good with lot of equipments and it is complimentary for guests. Swimming pool is also complimentary but I have seen putting lot of chemical in water at evening time, so avoided it. Spa and other facilities are paid. There is good reception area for guests at ground floor and if you wish to meet or wait for some one, it is good facility. For hypermarket or other facilities, you have to walk some distance from park. On the other end of park there are lots of restaurants and lively environment of student city. For local transport you can either walk after the university for 5 minutes ti catch the bus.Overall it is very good option, if you are visiting Technical university of sofia.

We vragen ons af hoe.
